Michaela Boot should be much too smart for this. (perfectionist) wrote in backway,
"Fine, we won't chance it more. I'll get a table, you find the books," he agreed.
Cho nodded and turned to search for the books. "Start your homework," she ordered with a smile before disappearing down a row of old, dusty volumes.
With a groan, Quinn tossed his school bag onto a table towards the back of the library, fishing out a piece of parchment and a self inking quill. Pausing, he tapped the feather against his lips, forming his essay in his head, then placed it to the parchment and began writing.
Joining him, Cho placed a small stack of books on the table and sighed. "I only found these two," she said, sliding up next to him.
"What are they?" he asked, not looking up from his writing.
"Books on contracts," she said as she flipped the first volume open.
"Then they should work. Do you think Snape will dock points if I say a good use for the Deflating Draught would be to use it on those two huge Slytherin blokes? You know, the beaters?"
Cho laughed. "Maybe make it Gryffindor. The Weasley twins," she said. "Okay, I think I can start writing now."
"Ooh, I can ponder on its ability to deflate egos or if it is strictly physical. Good idea, Choey!" he said, an impressed note of awe to his voice.
"I'm sure Professor Snape will love it," she said with a roll of her eyes as she began writing.
"It'll be the best damn essay he'll get," he exclaimed confidently, returning to his work with a renewed fervor. After several long moments of silence, he glanced up at her. "How's it going? Getting all those 'hereby' and 'therefore' uses right?"
"I think so," she said, grinning. "I'm working on the dramatics. I think we should add conditions, like... If I marry you, you'll work at the Ministry and be respectable."
