Hi everyone. My name is Kei and I live in a weird timezone at the start of the world. I've been on an RP break for a few months but I'm feeling more settled in my new role at work so I'm bringing back one of my longtime fave characters, literally-any-version-of Sam Wilson. This one is 616 from just after the second Civil War storyline, before *ugh* HYDRA Cap. Sam is still Captain America but he's fairly close to rage quitting - most of the public hates him for being political while black, a bunch of people have just died or been put into comas, a kid he was looking out for got framed and sent to jail, and he's in the process of ghosting on his fledgling (heh) relationship with Misty. He's kind of Done With This Shit and just plain tired.

When he's in a better mood though he's pretty friendly and funny. He's a total extrovert with a bit of a compulsion to look after people and he's been around for about 15 years since he first met Steve, so even though he was never actually a huge part of the Avengers until recently he's pretty well-known, if only for his 100% completely platonic (like, actually) relationship with Steve.

Fun trivia: Sam is one of the only Avengers who's never died, but he makes up for it by being way too familiar with every bird joke you could possibly make.

as for people that Sam might know, there is America Chavez! Who you know, ended up on his side during Civil War II, she's here from just before the start of West Coast Avengers, and a general grump since her powers aren't working for her these days. Well the star portals part, otherwise she's the same America she's always been.

Then we've got Tony Stark but he's from the Avengers Academy mobile game and Peter B Parker from Into the Spider Verse, so Tony will know of Sam, knows a Sam but not this Sam and Peter might have a passing awareness but not any real firsthand knowledge.

After that there is Klaus Hargreeves from the Umbrella Academy and Barbara Gordon from DC comics, neither of whom will know Sam, but you know I love interaction of any kind so they'll all enjoy meeting/talking/flirting/whatevering with Sam now that he's here.

	I actually played America for a while at another game so awesome to see her here. :D Mine could at least make portals, they just didn't... go anywhere useful. Sam secretly likes her style, he wishes he could get away with breaking chairs over people's heads. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	She's had a few false starts with them since arriving but mostly it's an unstable portal that is more likely to bisect you than send you anywhere you want to go, so you know lots of frustration there. I only play this one boy, Nyx Ulric from Final Fantasy XV. He's a good boy who likes doing good things. Now that he's revived from his princess saving days, he's not sure what to do with his time. So, he's bumming around and making friends.

They should be friends. Nyx would like to be friends.

Hi Kei! I'm very excited to have you joining us; I fucking love Sam Wilson, and he never gets enough attention, so I'm excited to be able to write with one. I've got an MCU Natasha here, and I'm bringing her in post-Endgame; I will not get spoilery in this comment, in case you haven't seen it. In movieworld, though, I feel like it's safe to say that Sam is one of the people closest to Natasha, and she has a sincere respect, love, and appreciation for him.

And she'll be glad to meet any version of him, the same way she was to meet a 616 Clint. She'll be really interested in talking to him about what it's like to be Cap; she's a good listener, and a good one to vent to. I think MCU Nat is a little softer around the edges than her comicsverse counterpart at this point, all these dumb people she's been running around with since 2012 really made her feel stuff, ugh, and I'll be really excited to throw them together.

Let me know if there's anything you need or want, and I get it if we can't throw them together for a bit if you're worried about spoilage!

lol behold my shock when he got actual screentime in Endgame. (I haven't seen it, but I don't know if I feel like it so I got people to spoil it for me.) I think the most time they've spent together in comics was when Bucky was Cap and Sam was trying to stop him doing anything too stupid under the influence of a) Natasha and b) the lack of Steve-related chaos in the world. So he doesn't know her as well as MCU Sam does, but he tends to like her.

Hi Kei!!

So excited to see Sam in the game!!!!! I'm Anne and I only play one person Sam knows, but not from the same universe- Carol Danvers. Carol has no idea who Sam is, but is getting to know the 616 people alright and knows something about her other self, but I'm sure she'd like to get to know him and will have questions. She's running the local bar (Pancho's) with Peter Parker from the Into the Spiderverse film.

I also have Miles Morales from the Spiderverse, who would be thrilled to see another African American here and probably have a lot of questions about his powers and what it's like to be Captain America! Might come to see Sam as a role-model, so there's that.

Next up is Obi-Wan from Star Wars. He's still figuring things out (he takes his time), and is sort of an outsider/hermit. He occasionally gets out and mingles, though.

Doctor 13 is the newest incarnation from Doctor Who. She'll have a lot of questions about any technology he has on and might try to scan him with her sonic. It's been a thing she's doing lately.

Finally, Harley Quinn. She's just arrived and wants trouble. If Sam rather avoid her (probably for the best), he can. But if he wants to try to stop or participate in a little chaos, she's looking forward to it!

Sam... might not have answers she likes, right now. :P Considering she's just been using an Inhuman who sees the future to arrest people before they commit crimes even though at least one turned out to be wrong, then went to arrest Miles for future-assassinating Steve and ended up fighting Tony and putting him in a coma. You know. Just little things. So he might be slightly frosty at first but he'll calm down because alternate universes and all.

Another Miles was on Sam's Avengers team and is secretly his favourite of the kids!

	Haha, it's okay. She'll have to think through that one and try to figure out why SHE would do it (because she'd have to realize she did it at some point). But I also think having done the whole brainwashed/Kree thing in the MCU would impact her feelings about using another being that way or running that kinda society. Tony Stark (MCU). Basically just the unofficial Mayor of Starklandia, and he's really not even sorry it got named that anymore, even though he sort of was at first.

Clint Barton (616). Clint will know Sam! They're from the same place! High five! Clint's actually from a little later on than Sam is, but he's also massively self absorbed and doesnt pay attention to stuff. Here, he co-owns COFFEE. the coffee shop.

Loki (616) who.. Im not sure how much he's crossed paths with Sam or not. Anyway. It's Loki!

Sirius Black, who is a wizard, Harry.

and John Constantine from the vertigo comics. He's sassy.

Sam will be weirdly glad to see Tony because in 616 he's uh in that coma and all.

He's a little less glad to see Clint because they just have their long weird history where Sam stole Clint's spot on the team that he didn't even want and Clint assassinated Bruce in front of everyone, and like he does get that Clint was doing what Bruce asked, but also he did not buy tickets to that show and would like to complain to management.

I think there was one ridiculous story somewhere that was played for jokes where Loki broken into the mansion for some reason and Sam was in the shower so he turned the water cold. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He knows of him, at least.

Listen, Clint's really sorry about that, particularly the whole murdering Bruce thing. He genuinely regrets it, 0/10 would not murder a good friend again, even if they asked which he so totally did. Sam's refund will be filed and in the mail within 5-7 business days.
Still, a familiar face is always nice even if he didn't always get along with that face before.

You know, that wouldn't surprise me. Definitely a thing Loki would do. He's no longer surprised when more Avengers show up here either. He'll just sigh about it.

Hey welcome! I'm Cogs and currently I have Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch, both from Marvel 616. Both are coming in from The Last Days of Magic, so they've both been through Civil War II. Wanda took a break from the Avengers after destroying the Phoenix Force to focus on self-care but she joins back up right after the end of her solo series. She has the better relationship with Sam, being an Avenger, but Stephen and him were on the same side in CW2.

Hi Kei!

I'm Grace and I have four kidlets here.

This guy, Bucky Barnes, is the MCU version but he's got a lot of love for his BFF Sam that he won't admit to. He'll be shocked by the Cap situation and have questions. He's coming from point in Infinity War where they're gearing up to battle so he was probably just with his version of Sam a few minutes before he arrived. We should have them meet up soon!

I also have Remus Lupin (

lonewolfen) from the Harry Potter books. He's coming from a handful of months after the First War, very jaded, but getting better having been around his friends (well, one is now gone, but the other is still here). He's generally pretty polite, has a sharp wit, and would be kind to Sam.

Next is Thor (MCU) who is coming from literally right when Thanos snapped his fingers. He is a very sad boy. Like, slipping into PTSD but has no idea it's happening. He kind of goes between shouting in CAPSLOCK on the Net out of merriment and slipping into brooding moods when he's alone. He doesn't know his version of Sam that well but generally like likes the Bird Man -- yes, he'll probably call him that.

Last but definitely not least, I have Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Woman aka Spider-Gwen from Earth 65. She's coming in from a botched mission to recruit a Peter Parker from the multiverse who died trying to protect her. After already losing her own Peter Parker back home. She's got some issues, but overall she's really a pretty nice person. Sarcastic and sassy, but always ready to help anyone with anything. In her world, Captain America is Samantha Wilson and she is one of the few people in her world who actually likes Spider-Woman and vouches for her being a good person so she'll definitely like Sam. And want to be his friend.

The BFFness is way more explicitly acknowledged in the comics ever since that time when Bucky tried to kill Tony Stark and then Sam ended up babysitting him for a few months. GOOD TIMES. IIRC at Sam's canon point Bucky is either leading the Thunderbolts or in space, but they've seen each other pretty recently.

I'm super looking forward to confusing Thor though because Sam's Avengers team has Lady Thor on it!

I seem to recall Sam being her own sidekick in 65 too lol.

And I used to be in HP fandom so Remus is cool!

Aloha, Kei. I'm Zed with Five from Umbrella Academy.

I can admit that of all the Marvel characters here, I know the least about Sam, but it sounds like he's just about the exact opposite of Five (he is neither friendly nor funny). If we ever wanted an excuse for two people to have that Existential Moment where they see a mirror self... could be entertaining.
