Sorry to put a break in talks of Borat and other fun stuff, but if anyone is interested in quantum entanglements (the nature of), or the quantum realm in general, it's like someone unscrewed my skull and dumped in a bunch of information. I mean, it's a place governed by something else than normal laws of physics - there's still so much to learn, but from what I know now, I think it could help us understand how to move within time and space the way no one ever has before. ~~And SHIELD is shit, but we already knew that--~~

Did you dream of rescuing my mom? It's - this is what me and my father have been trying to do for years, and the dream showed us doing it. She's still there, Scott. We have to bring her back.

You know what else works? Science. Sorry you got the file dump, I know that's like tripping and falling face first into a puddle of suck. But all this talk about moving through time and space means I let out a noise that only dogs can hear.

In the dream I had, it turns out that my mother was alive and had been in the quantum realm for the past thirty years. Not only had she been there, but she'd kind of evolved in a sense - gained extra powers as a result of her stay? The reason we found her was because of quantum entanglement - she'd put a message in Scott's mind when he was originally there, and when we opened a tunnel to the quantum realm for a hot second, she and Scott were connected and he received the message.

I mean, Stephen was in the quantum realm too. What if we opened a tunnel now, it'd be like tuning in to a new frequency - he might have picked up something that could help us. And besides that, if at any point you're moving through the quantum realm you're moving through time - if we open a tunnel to it, there also opens the possibility of time travel.

I think it makes sense if she spent that much time in a quantum state, that it'd change her on a molecular level. That she got entangled with Scott must have been...uncomf. I mean, that's literally sharing everything that comprises one person with someone else's molecular space. And imprinting enough to leave a message really has turned my brain into a yoga pretzel.

So if Strange has been there and Scott's been there? There's no reason we can't get in. Build something, open a tunnel, and start running experiments. What I need to know is how big of a space do you need and how much power can I supply you with to run it? With you knowing the tunnel and with Lang wiring up everything, should be golden to get it rigged up quick. Because if we can move through time without going bull in a china shop, then we might be able to tweak some things in our favor.

Since this is filtered to professional nerds, I can't say "In before Strange tells us not to mess with time travel" like I want to. I'd be surprised if we can get Strange to hop on board with this without giving us the "Don't mess with time" lecture.

Well, I remember everything - my father and I worked on his plans and acquired tech from the black market to build the tunnel. We had our own separate lab that conveniently shrunk and grew as necessary - you know me and the nanotech. I don't need much space. It shouldn't take us long now either, as long as we can get the tech without having to resort to black market dealings? What do you think?

I get that he's going to say that. I'm fully expecting him to. But it's a whole other universe, and it just may be the only hope to save this one.

Okaaaaaaaay. That broke my brain a little bit. Isn't that a little freaky deaky, having your mom possessing the guy you're shacked up with? I mean, that's more freaky than listening to broken record TED Talks by Dr. Strange.

What I think is that you need to start a list of what you need, and that I'm never going to go broke getting that stuff legally. Skip any shady middle man or woman, since being shady is an equal opportunity thing.

Bad news: Banner, Foster, and Shuri are gone. Looks like us three are the science department now.

Yeah, it was really weird. Extremely weird. As in, 'things I'd rather not repeat again ever.' I'd probably take the TED talk.

Sounds good, I'm on it. I'll just expand my workspace at Stark Industries a little, and well - since we're not technically hiding from the FBI thanks to the Sokovia Accords, we don't have to go the black market route.

Small but mighty. I can personally attest to how effective a small but mighty task force truly is.

Nope, no hiding necessary and we'll make room. Is there a chance it might go boom? Because there's a few floors underground that are shielded and shored up, high security, where the arc reactor is powering everything. If you need some juice, that's the shortest easiest route. We can hook the tunnel into the backup reactor.

Smaller means we'll have more focus to stay on track. Still? Shame they're not in on this. It's right up their ally.

I think hooking the tunnel to the backup reactor would be best, since we'll need a lot of juice. I don't believe any booming will happen, or at least, that's not the goal. Ideally, a smaller, more portable quantum tunnel would be preferred but the plans were for a larger variety so we'll go with that for now. My father built a vessel that could shrink down beyond subatomic level - that's what we'll use to traverse the realm.

Are they...I mean, they're okay, right? They just left this world?

Uhh. I dunno. I got worried and popped in to Banner's place and Shuri's lab and it was like, they vacated in a rush. Left their stuff behind.
That's Banner's bug out modus operandi, the guy's a runner, but Shuri's higher profile. So it's possible that one or both of them poofed. If that's what happens? Our resident wizard knows more about that than I do. I'm in the dark about the deets and he hasn't been forthcoming about how bad the parallel universe bust up really is.

What I can tell you is that shit is so borked out, that Pepper forgot she knew about the whole universe being busted and that I went to superjail. She went to meetings in California none the wiser, came back, and then remembered again. I guess Strange told her she had some sort of astral maggots or something eating her memories.

Yeah.

So? I'm gonna go hug my knees in a corner thinking about that again.

I only mentioned my mom in the context of building the quantum tunnel which we need to do anyway because purple guy could start affecting everyone else. I'm going to start it at Stark Industries, alright? Tony has a space for it. And I'll give you a copy of the plans - if something happens to me, finish the tunnel. Okay, Scott? Promise me?
