Kitty, you're 22. A guy finding out you have a crush on him isn't the end of the world. Suck it up and tell him or let it go and just admire him from afar. Either way, nothing has to change unless you both want it to.

First? You're gorgeous. Second? You're not a kid, you're an adult, and anyone who treats you like a kid deserves to get punched. Third, you're over the age of consent, so his age doesn't matter (unless he has children your age, because then it'd be a little weird). Fourth, if you like him you should just tell him, like an adult.

Did you suddenly get Xavier's powers? Because unless you did, you won't know until you talk to him. And if he doesn't have the good taste or sense to like you in return, you move on because he wouldn't be worth your time romantically.
