I’ve been reviewing data collected by the Research Centre at Muir Island over the past ten years. Based on a theory I have about how an individual’s pre-existing de novo mutations might be augmented or activated, I have asked my staff to resubmit a subset of samples into the churn. I’ve tweaked the algorithm and deepened the penetration along chromosomes four, eleven, and sixteen. The results should be completed within forty eight to seventy two hours, although the interpretation of the data may take longer.

If I am correct, it may be advisable for medical staff to be on the look out for exaggerated parasympathetic responses as well as fluctuations in the manifestations that individuals may have, especially during periods of heightened emotional arousal. While I do not have the data to make predictions as to individual prognosis or outcome, I feel that given the potential for harm to individuals and those in close proximity to them- it would be best for us to consider the possibility of autonomic dysfunction and disregulation as part of any differential diagnosis for those coming from Genosha.

It is also my strong opinion that a tailored medical assessment at intake, as well as a protocol for decompensated patients should be create as soon as is practical. I am happy to contribute if you wish.

You scared Edna to death.

By Edna, you mean you?

Emotion Regulation was not the issue. Not understanding everything my mind is capable of was the issue.

You're very touchy today, Charles. How is your fiber intake?

The clinic at the tower is fairly well equipped, but I can talk to Tony, see what we can do to amp it up.

Also hi -- Dr. Christine Palmer, trauma surgeon and apparently general practitioner these days.

Nice to meet you, Dr. Palmer. I'm sure that the clinic is well equipped medically, my concern is more about protocols and adding labs.

To be fair, safety has never been at my forefront, considering I'm surrounded by super amazing wonderful people.

Also, Stephen would never let anything bad happen to me. I think . I hope. Who knows, actually.

Protocols aren't a bad idea though, as are mock drills. I think the more we prepare, the better off we are in the long run.

I am not making aspersions on anyone's character or their abilities. To be clear, I'm not concerned about a person with special abilities using their powers to intentionally harm anyone. I'm more concerned that abilities could surge or manifest in unexpected ways.

It is my hope that someday we will look back and laugh at my precautions.

Oh, I wasn't either! I just mean I'm not very good at the better safe than sorry thing.

I'm down with it! I'd rather have it and not need it, rather than the other way around. If I can help with anything, let me know!!

We do have some protocols in place for dealing with the Other Guy that can probably be adapted.

I think that's a very good idea.

Most likely it will need to an ever-evolving thing depending on the types of abilities we see.

Likely, but if the algorithm is correct, the range of expression and the resultant abilities may ultimately require a speciality clinic at some point in the future.

That seems likely. At least Christine and I have some experience dealing with non strictly human things.

I think we need to discuss some power testing with the newly powered. We need to begin figuring out our limits. And control.

The part Moira is leaving out is that I uprooted and floated a 100 year old maple on my property.

And terrifying. Silver lining: I did save a significant amount on excavation.

Bruce, I know your alter can be unpredictable, so you're the best one to work through a plan for this, but I think we are currently in uncharted territory when it comes to understanding what any of these young people might be dealing with. My life's work has been understanding people's minds and emotions, and it's an constant struggle to control what my mind can do right now.

I agree that this is uncharted territory. There is so much that we're going to have to learn on the fly. I do wish Wanda was still here. She had some experience learning to control mental abilities.
