[public] The eScape
Looking for honest volunteers as game testers, so I'm posting here. I figured any of you would be great at force feeding me harsh truths, since we're stuck in this weird ass universe together.

I reversed engineered the B.A.R.F. tech and moprhed it into a virtual reality MMO. Our new gaming division is launching eScape on Christmas. It's our last chance before mass production. Fifty contest winners are joining us, thanks to a certain nationwide burger chain that I don't hand out free publicity pitches for.

Something something golden arches, something something meals in boxes with little plastic me's inside....

Anyone wanna take a test drive? Give a shout out and I'll toss a VR kit in your direction.

Wait, B.A.R.F. as in part of Beck's tech? Are we...sure this is a good idea?

Yep, same guy that was pissed off A.) about the name and B.) that I suggested therapy use instead of "hey lets dupe foreign troops" and whatever else he was pitching, which would've led to a WHOLE hot mess if it got in some bad guys' hands.

Which it kinda did over there, only Beck was the bad guy. Yikes.

It's ok though? I made sure he got an original tech credit in the game credits, and sent an initial paycheck to wherever he might pick it up. The guy has like fifty forwarding addresses.

That's pretty generous considering he was fired for being dark and creepy. Anyway, don't worry. Pep and I know all of the legalese. No lawsuits are good. And I reworked it so it's safe for all ages.

You want to try it out?

Yeah, I just - I don't want this to be his bat signal. Or Beck signal or whatever. I don't know if he's any different in this universe, but in the other? It would've taken more than a credit and a paycheck to satisfy him. He really, really hated you, and his crew did too. It kinda seemed like that was years in the making.

I think I'll probably pass. Which sucks because this sounds like the coolest thing ever, but me and virtual reality aren't going to mix for a while. I still get nightm All that stuff...when it's weaponized it's the worst. I'm really glad it's being used for good this time around.

Then it's a good thing I'm here to take care of it if he pops up. If I worried about everyone with a grudge, I'd never leave the house again. That would make it really hard to do anything at all. Ever.

I'm not going to let anyone weaponize this. That's the whole reason Beck bailed. Some of his pitches for product uses were not, uhh, user friendly. It was too sketchy, and since he developed it while working for our company, since S.I. funded his research, it was agreed when he was an employee that we'd get to produce it. So if a paycheck's not enough? I'll be his Beck signal. He can sue me and Pep, and we'll point out the contract and reason for termination.

Look, I know that you're worried after what other-you went through. It does suck but it's also ok to give it a hard pass, although I wish you were in there to have fun with the rest of us.

It's a different situation here. It'll be ok.
