We're sorry you feel that way and apologize if your feelings have changed about the game picking up pace as of late. I also regret that I didn't get this notif! It didn't hit my mailbox after I changed emails. I'll be switching back.
The overall feeling from many people is active is good rather than slowness or the possibility of stagnation, which can sometimes happen with other games, causing them to die out. I strive to avoid this, keeping plots at a two week to a one month (in the past) pace, to give people time to play plot stuff out, while also giving them the opportunity to pursue their own interests with their characters.
We will never discourage sharing a vast wealth of character development or IC communication, or an uptick of activity due to people being excited about building bridges. With new incoming players or people picking up new characters and wanting to make connections, it's important to them that they establish new bonds and explore those connections. It's great background and can build up things for plot when it happens and makes it more genuine for the characters involved. If anyone wants to avoid feeling overwhelmed and is only interested in game-wide plot arcs, we suggest following the game-wide plot tags, which can be found here:
Due to the overwhelming interest of the majority of the group, we do not see the pace changing any time soon. If it does become too overwhelming, we have suggested to others that maybe downgrading their roster is an option, or a slowatus/hiatus notice can help lessen the load in times of need. We try to work with others whenever possible, and a summary is just an email or an ooc post away whenever anyone is in need. Any of us will be happy to help fill you in, including some of your fellow players, should you ever be in need.
We love having you here and how you play your characters. We hope following/filtering the tags solution will help alleviate the issues you are experiencing. Is there anything else we can do to help?
Also, I appreciate your participation with our most recent discord chat yesterday, so we could try to find an equitable solution. Again, my apologies for not answering sooner. I'll be switching emails again to make sure that it doesn't happen.
