Pepper put a protective hand over her baby bump while Wanda and Peggy put themselves into position. Being tall allowed Pepper a good line of sight. These "pirates" really did seem more like a stereotype.

"No," she answered Peggy. "We'd be wenches if that were the case. Maybe the space stone." She couldn't help but look into the sky in hopes of seeing Tony again then sighed. Chances were he was fighting something else somewhere else.

She stayed in place to let Wanda and Peggy work. Instinctively she backed up a few steps then a few more until...

"'ello, luv."

Pepper spun around to see a rakishly handsome pirate with fantastic guyliner, cheekbones to die for and a smirk she'd seen a million times on Tony's face. Without thinking about it Pepper punched the pirate dead in the face.

"I can try," Wanda offered, referring to keeping the passengers calm and, hopefully, nudging them to safety. "This is already chaos - I would guess the reality stone caused it. But I don't know who could have gotten their hands on it." Focusing for a moment, while Peggy aimed and fired at the approaching scallywag, keeping them at bay, Wanda's eyes flooded crimson as she projected a telepathic vibration - a wave of calm focus, meant to touch each and every passenger on their ferry. It ballooned out and settled, a mushroom cloud of energy.

There. Hopefully that would prevent more destruction from panicked people. Making a disgusted face, she shot a red beam from her hands; the blast knocked the one Pepper had punched in the face (and broken his nose, it looked like - that was a good punch) off his feet, and overboard. He hit the water with a splash. "I'll aim for the Captain, if you can cover me, Peggy," she said.

And that man with gold teeth, he got a blast for his trouble too - red energy crackled from her fingertips; Wanda telekinetically grabbed him by the ankles, and threw him into the mast of his own ship. Thunk.
