It was the end of the week, and with Clint back in the picture and Nat having to explain what had happened and how all this came to be, she was ecstatic that it was Friday. That meant a little bit of girl time with Peggy, and time away from Fury and Clint to just be a girl, which in truth was going to be a first for her since Nat never really had any downtime until now. She was going to take advantage of that while she could.

With the day coming to an end, Nat had gone back to Fury's to change into some casual clothes and made her way towards Joey's. The location was perfect since it was an old style diner and not too far from Peggy's place. Once inside, she took a seat and waited for Peggy to arrive. Another reason for the location was because she knew Peggy didn't want to be too far from Steve. Nat could understand that in this line of work it was hard to find your person. Nat had hers, Clint, her best friend. Outside of that aspect, she didn't dabble in love since all it did was get in the way and complicate things.

With a glass of water brought over, she'd finally glanced at the menu to get an idea of what to eat. And what to bring back for Fury and Clint.

'Boys,' she thought, with a slight smirk

Peggy had always prided herself on being her own person. She cared about people, but there was never a single person that her life revolved around. Since Steve had been delivered back to her, that was a hard line to keep up with. It was like they were making up for lost time all over again and trying to imagine herself going out and spending a few days apart seemed as simple as making water unwet. It just didn't work.

But, Nat was her best girlfriend. Her only girlfriend really. It hadn't exactly been easy for her to socialize. First it was the incoming end of the world, turning to dust, coming back only to find out Steve was gone... on top of all of that... the present was very different than the world she had left. It was so much brighter and faster, and it overwhelmed her easily. There were still days when the thought of going out into the middle of all the brightness made her stomach curl. The Christmas season did little to help that.

For this though, she would conquer that particular fear. She looked every bit the modern woman, save for the hat upon her head as she slipped into the diner, a gust of wind from the closer door causing her to raise a hand and press the hat back onto her head as she looked around, smiling widely at Nat as she started her way, finally removing said red hat as she leaned down and kissed Nat warmly on the cheek before sitting. "Sorry if I kept you waiting dear, I was trying to convince Steve to tell me what he wanted me to bring back but... he refused to pick anything and just said he would eat whatever I bring back." She rolled her eyes, but it was purely with fondness. "As if I would leave food on a plate, please." She laughed a little and began shrugging off her blue coat from her shoulders. "How are you? How is Clint adjusting?"
