Who: Okoye, Tony, Darcy
What: the general from Wakanda arrives.

With direct orders from Queen-Mother herself, Okoye was assigned to help assist the Avengers in prepping for battle, before heading back to Wakanda and doing the same. Leaving in charge of the Dora’s as well as protecting Queen-Mother and the princess, was Okoye's right hand, Ayo. With her Country still in mourning for the loss of their King, they pushed forwards to protect not only their people but also aid help to those in need. Something King T’Challa would have proudly stood behind.

It was that thought that drove Okoye. With her flyer prepped and ready to go, she had left during the night, so she would be able to arrive in New York in the early hours. Her coordinates automatically placed, which allowed her time to gather her thoughts. Meditate for the moment and ease her heart some more. With her Kimoyo bead beeping, it indicated that she was reaching Stark Industries. With her eyes opening she held her hands out, palms facing down as she tapped her glowing bead, taking control over the fighter jet once more.

The slick black jet would suddenly come into view seemingly out of nowhere above the landing pad on the rooftop of Stark Industries, the glow of Vibranium pulsing through the propellers beneath the jet as the humming of the engine came to an end and the jet landed, the hatch door would come open.

Slowly stepping out, Okoye was greeted by a few that worked within Stark Industries. Including the woman who had reached out on behalf of Stark and the Avengers, Ms. Lewis. With her Dora Milaje armor placed over her frame and that Vibranium Spear in hand, greetings were exchanged before Okoye was led inside.

Among those few were a couple security guards and Tony Stark, who somehow managed to make himself presentable and more sober than he had been in a while. He knew the severity and seriousness of their situation, overall. He was neatly dressed in a suit that Happy snagged from the penthouse (that he was avoiding), waiting for the Wakandan general to arrive.

Since Pepper wasn't there anymore, he didn't have his usual soundboard to keep his edginess down to a dull roar.

Before Okoye entered, he turned to Darcy and muttered, "The hair. Too much product? Too little? Just right? I don't want to look like I overdid it. I want pretty but not too pretty. Like I didn't have to try, but it just randomly happened. Like I rolled out of bed and said, hey, this looks ok."

To say she was nervous was an understatement. Still she tried not to show it. So when Tony offered a distraction on his hair she glanced up, fingers messing with it a bit. “There.” Her own hair was tied up in a ponytail from this morning with a few strands falling along her face. A deep breath was taken as she tried to calm her nerves when the doors opened...

With the doors open and Okoye stepped forth, spear in hand it was obvious her presence alone demanded attention from everyone in the room. Her arms crossed into an ‘X’ across her chest before breaking apart and the top of her spear hit against the floor. It was their greeting, and her natural cold stare glared at those around her.

“On behalf of Queen-Mother and Wakanda,” she said with a slight tilt of her head to them, “We offer aide in these times of need.”

Tony glanced over at Darcy and then back at Okoye, nodding his head once and offering one hand out to shake hands.

"On behalf of the Avengers, what'sleftofthem, welcome to Stark Industries and the United States," Tony said. "We appreciate that Wakanda is willing to help. I've been in contact with Princess Shuri regarding removal of the Mind Stone from our ally, and your King, before he passed away. We're very sorry for your loss."

“The princess is working currently on extracting the stone as we speak, it should be complete in the next day or two.” She informed him. When the mention of her King came to up, her grip tighten on her spear, but not directed towards Tony, but rather in general.

“We thank you for your condolences. In truth,” She said as her accent was heard easily in her speech. “Queen-Mother was uncertain if we should provide aid. But your liaison was very persistent.” A glance was given towards Darcy, as the young woman simply replied with a smirk and a nod of her head.

“I shall aid as much as I can, and once you are well situated Ms. Lewis and I will be returning to Wakanda a few days before your arrival, to ensure all preparations are being met and followed through.”

To that news, Darcy tried not to make a surprised face. It made sense, but still it was a bit scary and out of her league. But she was holding her own.

"We do appreciate that she is willing to do this. With the whole world at stake, it's the best defensible area to stage a last stand," agreed Tony. By the look on his face, this was news to him too. It was a good thing that Tony recovered quickly. "Uh yep. That sounds good to me. I mean, Ms. Lewis? Good with you?"

He gave her a hard staring at, as though trying to say 'Take your crazy teenaged trickster god with you, you cradle robber.'

She knew that look. And gave him one back,’He is not a teenager!’. Still, she looked towards General Okoye and nodded her head. “Of course anyway I can assist I am up for.” There was a faint smile as she watched the Wakandian warrior for the moment.

Okoye looked between the two of them. Her only thought, ’Americans’. But once everyone was in agreement she nodded her head. “Shall we get started then, Mr. Stark,” She said addressing Tony on what he would need help with on her end.

"Sure. Right this way." Tony gestured toward where they could talk in private, telling the on edge security personnel to wait outside. When they hesitated he abruptly told them, "She's got a spear. I'm armed to the teeth. Lewis is a sarcasm machine. C'mon. Nothing is gonna happen. Everyone enter chill mode. It's ok."

"Mr. Stark..." one hedged.

"Bye. We're good," Tony insisted, getting the door and holding it open for Lewis and the General to enter the meeting room.

Okoye made her way towards the room, as she walked past the one guard who was on edge. Making sure to have direct eye contact she walked past him, a highly annoyed and disapproving look given as she shook her head and made her way inside, spear in hand.

For a second Darcy swore that guard was done for. But even the look the General gave was scary as shit as she came to follow inside before Tony could shut the doors to give them privacy.

"She's scary. I think I might've dropped a deuce," Tony said under his breath to Darcy as she passed by, closing the door once they were alone. He spoke up now that it was just the three of them. "All right. Before we hash out any finer details of what I'm thinking is coming at us...I'm gonna ask a weird question. Have you had any bad dreams lately? Just bear with me. About a big angry purple guy, with a cosmic pimp glove he's trying to slap the universe with? Because if you have, there is a whole other level of crazy we need to fill you in on."

After about three seconds, Tony added, "If not, disregard and we'll talk plans. Maybe have some tea or coffee. Whatever's good."

And there it was…. The facepalm of the century directed at Tony. Sure, Darcy got it. Strange wasn't here so he had to deal with things. But still…. ”Way to break the ice, Tony….” is all she said as she exhaled and took a seat.

Hearing about the dreams had Okoye shift her gaze towards Stark for the moment. Her spear held at as her fingers pushed at the center before the two ends of the spear retracted and she was left with a small gold rode in her hand. She took a seat as she finally answered.

“I had dreams of King T’Challa turning to dust after a great battle with the man you described, yes,” was all she answered with.

And there that was, Tony thought. This was good. Shuri also stayed there earlier in the year, but only for a couple of months, before she went back to Wakanda, having forgotten putting the RT casing back into his chest earlier this year. Tony dropped hints after he contacted them about removing the stone from Vision, and the teenager didn't seem to remember. Which was a bummer. He liked her and the technobabble.

Tony's eyes were a little shifty as he sat down across the table. There was always an antsy sort of energy to him, but he was focused right now too. Cap wasn't there. People were missing. Strange was dusted. Even if Darcy looked like she was ready to roll her eyeballs right out of her head at him, someone had to cut the crap and get to the bottom of things.

"Yeah, well? That guy really is gunning for us here. We're down people on our end, so are you. Which I am sorry. T'Challa always seemed like a really nice guy. This should not have happened, like, at all. Real quick? We're a split off copy of a universe, part of the multiverse. It sounds nuts, sure, but the guy who kinda sorta helped do it on accident got dusted. And he's the welcome wagon, so you're stuck with me."

Tony stared at Okoye's ultra serious face and let out a tiny little 'yay' noise that wasn't all that yay at all.

"Anyway. Space Grape is going to show up and try to get the stones. I'm sure of this. His daughter is sure of it. And the only place we can lure him in and fend him off, where we have a shot at stopping him before he gets all of the rocks, is Wakanda. We spoke about the urgent need being urgent? Well, we've lost half. Imagine losing half of that. Because that's what he'd be gunning for, to make sure his genocide kick is fulfilled."

Her expression was blank and serious as she listened to Tony speak. His strange explanation of the dreams and their meanings and what was to come and how Wakanda was involved. Which explained why Ms. Lewis reached out in the first place. For a few moments she was silent as she took it all in.

“He will not win, this time around.” Her accent thick and her words heavy with assurance that one form or another, this purple monster would not have his genocide.

Not if Wakanda had anything to do with it.
