Open! - Soul Dimension
Who: Open to all Soul Dimension dust-ees.
What: a safe harbor for those in the Soul Dimension.
When: sometime after Wanda sending out a mental lure to anyone nearby.
Where: The Soul Sanctum.
Rating: ?

    Under a perpetually orange sky, one block of Greenwich Village had been meticulously reconstructed. Roads branched out in New York's familiar grid of streets. They stretched one mile in all four cardinal points - as best as could be determined - floating upon the surface of the water.

    These roads all led to the Soul Sanctum, a perfectly rendered recreation, rising up out of the water like a beacon to those who were lost.

    Inside, the Sanctum was faithfully copied from Strange's extensive memories. Everything from the demonic fridge (which he had grown profoundly fond of), to the individual pages of the books he memorized. Right down to a voice activated blue tooth speaker, which was currently playing a playlsit that included Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here.'

    That is where Stephen Strange was. The doors of the Soul Sanctum wide open, which would have never happened in New York. The sorcerer in his red cloak was meditating in an old wing-backed chair on how to fix the portal problems, and waiting with Wanda for the arrival of those she had reached out to.

His simple reply made Pepper smile. She knew she'd just blathered, and didn't miss the irony of his monosyllabic answer.

"Uh..." she looked down at her baby bump. "Yeah. I'm trying not to panic." Her hands rubbed over the bump as if she could feel the life growing within her.

Then she lifted her eyes abruptly. "We're not dead? Oh thank god! But how will they know we aren't dead and need to get us out?" She paused. "Also...ew."

"We're working out a plan. To get word to them," he reassured her. "So they know we're alive. And yes. It's...eww."

He didn't want to think about what sort of mess they'd find when they got back to their own universe. And getting back there wouldn't be without risk, either. He wasn't about to tell that to a woman who had three months left to bake the bun in that oven. So to speak.

"I can conjure you some herbal tea. There's a room here on the lower floor, so you don't have to use the stairs. And I'm not fussing. I just don't want to hear Stark bitching at me later."

No one did.

"How?" Pepper gave Strange a dubious but challenging look. It was a look she gave Tony whenever he talked over her head. With Tony she had to make sure he wasn't just throwing out jargon in hopes that she'd just nod and say ok.

"Ground floor would be good, thank you."

"Down the hallway to the right of the foyer, first door on the right. It's closest to the restroom, across the hall," he explained. "The problem with 'how' is that I don't know if it will work yet. If you've dealt with Stark for so long, you probably know there's risk involved."

He didn't shy away from that look. He expected questions.

"I'm cautiously optimistic. We don't belong here. We have someone working on a means of transference, scientifically, and we have someone capable of sending out a telepathic message. I can astral travel. We're like the wonder twins only wonder triplets. Form of...capable people trying to do impossible things."

Strange made a half-hearted fistbump motion off to one side, that the cloak of levitation met with one wadded up corner of itself. His expression afterward was of the FML variety, because seriously? The entire universe he came from was like the decorative icing on a very stale cake.

Of the carrot variety.

Yuck.

Oh god why did he have to mention the bathroom?! Pepper could feel her bladder give a warning twinge. No. Not now! She needed information!

"The wonder what?" Pepper blinked as she watched that. His cloak! Wow! She couldn't help but reach out toward it because wow!

Well he meant for a bath, if she wanted one. They were in a bit of a stasis situation, so food and water didn't seem necessary other than a comforting memory. Then again, Pepper's body had definitely undergone a...change. So that might be sending off some definite warning signals that things were no longer the way they used to be a week ago.

"You know. Wonder Twin powers, activate. Form of...someone who actually knows how to fix this mess." The cloak made a fist-pumping motion before that corner wrapped around Pepper's hand to shake it. Stephen shook his head at it. "Saturday morning. Cartoons? Back when that was a...I'm going to stop while I'm ahead."
