"I've seen what the space and power ones can do, so no thanks unless you want pieces of a moon landing on you," Tony said. "From what Strange told me a couple of months ago, the Space one's under a lock and key. Thanos can't get it easily. He didn't elaborate. So here's hoping that's one down. If we keep some of them away, especially a mind controlling stone, then we're good."

Scott had been unusually quiet as he took in and was processing all of this new information. Maybe things they should have shared together a long time ago, as the more they explained, the more he got a sinking feeling in his stomach they’d left themselves open for compromise. But just from this meeting alone, there were a lot of minds...but they could do this.

“Cap has a point. And what Nebula said earlier..Nat may be onto something. From what we know in the past and of how Quill’s plan almost worked before—the right combination of groups and the right destruction may be all we need. I wasn’t present to help last time, and I am now. I can be that distraction.”

Hope tried not to let her eyebrows reach her hairline at this revelation. if Scott was going to be a 'distraction,' this plan better be fucking flawless - and right now it looked like it wasn't.

"Seems to me he'll just keep coming for the stones he doesn't have, if he even manages to get one or two," she said. Which was why hoarding them seemed to be the best bet - otherwise wouldn't they just end up in this situation again, like, a year from now?

"I agree with you." Wanda didn't know who the woman was, really, but she seemed to know how Thanos operated - and her advice from earlier, about being so ruthless that you had to be willing to kill anyone to stop Thanos' ideals from coming to fruition? It actually made her somewhat sad - to get to that point, Wanda couldn't imagine what she had gone through.

"We must do better than stopping just the worst. We can't afford for this to happen again. The mind stone, it does not just control minds - it allows for knowledge to be absorbed. It seems unwise to ignore any 'tips' gained as a result of a connection with this stone."

“Then we do the opposite of what we failed to last time.” Easier said than done, he knew, but from what everyone was saying—in layman’s terms, it was a start. “Putting the stones where they were before or grouping them together isn’t an option. Maybe having one in Wakanda isn’t an option. Strange’s Sanctom, or that realm you’re talking about—if we move Shuri or the stones there...”

Bucky didn’t know what he was talking about, he knew that. But he was trying to take their information and what they knew, and what Thanos knew, and flip it on itself. “Why don’t we just destroy them? Hope, could those particles destroy those stones so Wanda isn’t burdened with it?”

Hope considered the question for a moment. "Yes," she nodded. "Quantum energy - we're still discovering uses for it. My mother survived for thirty years without food or water, in the quantum realm, because of exposure to this energy. It can heal, but given the power it has...it can also destroy the stones. In theory, if they're overloaded."

She glanced at Scott. "We'd have to collect enough of the particles."
