Scott liked to get out a take a good walk through the city in the mornings after Hope left for work. He'd hand deliver some projects that he did if it were necessary, but he wasn't much for being confined to a single area for large amount of time. For many reasons.
So the mornings were perfect for grabbing a tea, a bagel, and grabbing a few of the latest science and tech magazines from the stands. He could read the newspaper online but he was still one of those sorts who preferred the old fashioned way (and still recycled). The city didn't offer much in fresh air, but in comparison to California? Ha, oh boy, he'd take it. Being the people person that he was it didn't take long to get into a little habit and learn the local's names.
"Thanks for the bag, Rory," He smiled across as the stand owner put all of the Ant-Man's purchases in a bag for him as Scott exchanged real paper money for it. One good thing about contract work. Though he already had done all the math on his taxes. He was good with numbers. "You can keep the change buddy. Have a great day." And just as he went to turn and make his way downtown to visit one of the bigger, fancier toy stores to pick up something nice for Cassie so he could send her a little care package, Natasha spooked the hell out of him and he dropped his bag, hands flying up, palms open defensively. Force of habit.
"Cheese and rice, Natasha." Scott picked up his bag, his free hand holding his chest in relief once he realized what it was. "How long were you even standing there? Am..am I in trouble or something?" Nat was definitely the super spy covert op of the group.
