"Both," Strange said, not mincing words. All of this seemed to be topics of concern. That an Asgardian warden who should be answering the call from a member of the Asgardian royal family left Stephen furrowing his brow. And hearing Thor's assessment of his brother cause him to frown. Loki's ability to cloak himself was good enough to sneak into the Sanctum unnoticed, with someone in tow. Even so, there hadn't been anything deadly in the cases in that area, and that was the only reason that Strange wasn't concerned about the actual relics. In fact, that area held some seemingly innocuous items. It was the other side and storage areas that held truly dangerous things.
"I might regret saying this, but your brother might actually be the lesser of these two evils," he told Thor, pausing to take a calming sip of his tea. "Since he's not related to you by blood, I can't locate him using the same spell I used to find Odin. As for that bad feeling, you're not the only one. Hold on a moment."
There was the slightest hint of tremors in his hands as he held the cup, a byproduct of the nerve damage he suffered in his accident. It was getting better over time, but the topic of conversation was dividing his attention as he cautiously sent a tendril of magic into this plane of existence, to feel out any new or recent changes.
Almost immediately, his eyes went unfocused. It was like he was staring into an abyss and the abyss was staring back at him.
What came back from that abyss was like he reached one hand down into a pit of shadow, and the shadows grabbed back. It was like being latched onto by the great unknown, dark and insidious and unfathomable. It was strong. No? Strong wasn't the right word for the scope of this. It was insanely powerful. Another great change was in their future, bigger in scope than ever before. Not merely for Thor this time, either. Stephen felt as though this might touch him this time as well.
Stephen's gaze had been unfocused, but now he seemed to snap out of it and was focusing back on Thor.
"You're right," was the confirmation of their fears. "But that's all it is, Thor. A feeling. There's no details. No telling how or when or who might be involved. This happened before, when the sharks in tornadoes bled over from another dimension. I'd use the stone to go into the future, to see what might happen. But given this universe's instability, I won't risk lives or further fracturing of this timeline, doing that. Not even for this.
"You're the son of Odin," Stephen pointed out, "notorious in our lore for being wise and all knowing, even if tales told that he didn't share those secrets with others. Is it possible you've been granted some insight now that you're Asgard's king?"
