Who: Nick Fury, open to all
What: Nu!SHIELD Interviews/Auditions
When: May 7th to May 14th, 2018
Rating/Warnings: Green/Yellow, in case someone wants to talk in detail as to why they should be hired

Note: This is open to everyone who would like their character in nu!SHIELD. Assume you were given an interview date/time, probably delivered in some sneaky way.

Nick loved job interviews. He loved devising questions, he loved interrogating but most of all, he loved being surprised . Every time he'd recruited someone, he'd gotten a good sense of who he was recruiting, why they'd be a good asset, what they're abilities were, and it was all under the guise of ensuring global security, which to be honest, was the first and last thing any of his operatives thought about. As they should.

What Nick wanted was someone who'd be loyal to the cause, who could do something no one else could, and above all, be confidential.

Let it be known that Nick Fury loves his secrets.

So in typical cloak-and-dagger fashion, he rented a warehouse, outfitted it with training gear, and sent out his invitations. Unlike before, he doesn't have the luxury of hunting down every individual for his team. A new technique for a new program -- let the recruits come to him.

Bobbi had a hand in all of this. It wasn't a big hand, but it certainly wasn't a tiny gesture either. Honestly, she'd been happy to get the ball rolling then leave it all up to Fury. This interview/audition, for instance. Bobbi wouldn't have had the patience for it.

She assumed she didn't have to jump through Nick's hoops, but she couldn't resist checking in to see how they were going. Of course, she couldn't just show up. She had to show up her way.

Blonde hair in pigtails practically on top of her head, a slightly too small tank top and daisy dukes completed Bobbi's outfit. She waited until there was a moment between candidates to almost literally bounce in.

"Is this where the tryouts for the New York Giants cheerleaders is?" Her voice was pitched annoyingly high and ditzy.

Nick couldn't help the internal chuckle, but damn if he would show it. Bobbi Morse was a blast of fresh air, and he was finding himself enjoying working with her. Instead, he quirked an eyebrow.

"If you think I'm not going to ask you to show me your High V's, or Punch Ups, you're sorely mistaken." That's right -- Nick knew about stunting, and the different types of cheerleader maneouvers. At one point, he'd had operatives infiltrating all types of positions, sports teams included.

Bobbi grinned as she walked toward Nick. "With these legs?" Bobbi was tall, and almost all of that height was legs. "Where do you think I learned how to kick?" Hey, they'd all gone to high school at some point. It was sometimes difficult to remember that all of the agents and directors came from mundane origins.

"How's it going?" she asked as she helped herself to a seat on a nearby bench. "Anyone need spit and polish?"

Nick gave a half-laugh. Spit and polish. A nicer way to put it than what he was thinking. "The Avengers are separate from SHIELD this time, which has its pros and cons. Former SHIELD agents are around but wary, which I think also has its pros and cons." He shrugged. "There's a few potentials, and I think they'd make a decent enough team."

Reaching for his ever-present cup of coffee, he took a long sip. It wasn't as piping hot as he'd like, but it was coffee. "You planning on helping vet people?"

So the Avengers were either being paranoid or snooty. With some of them it could go either way. "Stark's funding SHIELD so how is he going to balance being our purse strings and being an Avenger?" Everyone knew things between Stark and Rogers were dodgy at best, but Bobbi had heard things had gotten a bit worse recently.

Nick didn't ask questions like that without motive. Bobbi tilted her head as she eyed him. "I could give it a shot. I'm not Maria Hill but...oh hey!" One corner of her lips quirked up. "She vetted Ward, didn't she?" Grant Ward. The man who had tortured her and almost killed her. Prick.

He didn't like thinking about that, and the scowl that deepened echoed his feelings on the matter. "We all make mistakes," he grumbled, letting his anger wash over him. It didn't make sense to dwell.

"You'd do a good job. I like your attitude."

Bobbi nodded in serious agreement as she absently rubbed at the shoulder where the bullet had gone through. Hunter hadn't been happy about her heroics, but better his horrible bedside manner than putting him in a box.

"Ward was good," she said with a slight haunted edge to her voice. "Too good. Even Coulson didn't see him coming."

The approval of her personality had her grinning again. Judging by the sparkle in her eyes, those long legs and other assets, it was no wonder Hunter had fallen for her...and others pined. "The ex would say you shouldn't encourage that."

"There's a reason he's an ex then," Nick pointed out. "If someone can't see your do-gooder attitude with a sprinkle of 'need to please'..." He gave a half-hearted shrug.

"I met your friend, Daisy by the way. You were right -- she'll be a good fit and an asset to the team."

Bobbi just shrugged with a smile that could mean anything on her face. Hunter was...something. One minute he could be sweet and caring. The next he could be an absolute ass.

"Thought you'd like her, sir." Bobbi was pleased to hear that Daisy passed the Fury Test. "She's pretty loyal to Coulson then SHIELD in that order. Since Coulson isn't here..." That shrug Fury had just given was echoed by her now.

Unlike Bobbi, Daisy showed up in her normal attire. There was no reason to play games. Daisy wanted back into SHIELD and she'd do almost anything to do so.

Like normal, the interview was in some warehouse. It was all super secret, which was not a surprise. That was SHIELD. Or it was.

She walked in and took a look around before saying, "Hello?" She didn't see anyone, but that didn't mean somebody wasn't around.

From his spot in the corner, Nick watched carefully as Daisy entered. This was the one Bobbi had mentioned before. Nick hadn't meant to be away from the desk, but it was providing a good vantage point for him.

He didn't respond right away to her hello. Instead, he stood for a while, and watched. After a few minutes in which he could see she wasn't about to be uncomfortable, he stepped out.

"Hello, Daisy. Welcome."

Daisy steeped further inside, eyes darting around, waiting for something to happen. She stopped walking when she heard the footsteps coming towards her. And then the familiar voice came.

"Fury," she said as she watched him come out from the shadows. She was going to say that it's been a while, but she wasn't sure which version of Fury this was, so she didn't stay it. "So. What kind of hoops are you going to make me jump through to prove that I'm capable of being a SHIELD agent?"

He gave a simple shrug as he walked to his table. "You tell me, Daisy. This is your time to shine." He raised an eyebrow. "I know that Coulson hired you last time, and that you were indispensable for him." He blinked. "Show me you can be indispensable to me too. Tell me how you'll fit into my team." Fury gestured around the room. "There's everything you could need here to impress me."

Pulling out his chair, he sat down. "So impress me."

Lincoln Campbell

Since he'd started working for the hospital Lincoln had been thinking less and less about SHIELD and more about how he could do some good in this world now that he was back in the land of the living. When he found the invitation to the interview in his locker at work it knocked him out cold. He had more questions than he could handle and most of them wouldn't get an answer unless he showed up. Even then he couldn't be sure.

Firstly, though, Lincoln had to work out whether he could work for an organisation that strapped murder-vests onto operatives that refused to back down. He didn't actually have to accept any offer made to him, though he would be taking his life in his hands turning down a secretive organisation. He also knew that Daisy would be first in the queue to get back involved and leaving him out of her life would conflict her and leave her open to being hurt.

When he thought of it in those terms he knew there was no other option than showing up for the interview, somewhat reluctantly. Lincoln was a little surprised to see the location when he arrived and with his wits fully about him, he entered the warehouse, expecting either a trap or the place to morph into a quinjet at as second's notice. SHIELD was quite literally capable of anything.

Fury barely remembered this one. Lincoln Campbell. Another one of Coulson's, probably.

"You made it." It was getting to the end of the day, and this was the only one he was still waiting for. Good.

SHIELD suffered from over-reaching last time. He wanted small, simple, private teams this time. Something more manageable, but still impactful. "Welcome."
