As it was to be expected, the fighters weren't matched by any stretch of the imagination. There was no doubt in Gamora's mind that if they were, Vulcan and Hobb wouldn't have been put in the same league. Or so she thought, until Hobb appeared to be coming back and dispensing a string of punches and kicks that while not connecting, were having an effect on his opponent all the same.
When the big man's neck twisted and snapped seemingly on its own, Gamora's eyes widened just a bit. She had seen some things, but never one quite like this. There was a beat as two men dragged Vulcan's dead body off the ring, but it was impossible to follow them and discover where they took the dead once they left the rooftop.
The Master of Ceremonies continued as if nothing had happened, announcing the next fight between the blue man, Ronjos Ronjoson, and the perfectly average looking woman with dark hair, simply named Angelica.
Only, when they took to the ring and Ronjoson began boasting and laughing, the simple woman named Angelica unzipped her hoodie and pulled it off, revealing a complicated backless top that was clearly several sizes too large for her. But only for a second - in a flash the average woman had turned into a much taller, larger one with platinum hair and Gamora swayed back a little when her enormous feathered wings unfurled.
Even her opponent seemed taken aback.
It was a good fight by all accounts, the woman revealing yet another trick in the form of becoming enveloped in fire, and the blue man holding his own with impressive strength and endurance. He wasn't, however, impervious to fire but seemed to think like he was because he kept coming in for the most amount of fire possible, getting burnt, and stepping back. The fight lasted longer than Gamora would have imagined. So long, that she crossed her arms in boredom and decided to start looking up to see if she could spot Sam Wilson.
Out of the audience, nothing extraordinary happened. Thinking back to her conversation with Ellen when The Hulk had attacked, Gamora considered how one would take out the most enhanced people in this setup. Setting them all on fire seemed like a safe bet, but one would need fuel to keep the fire going. Then there were bombs, but they ran the risk of killing themselves too - unless that was acceptable. Gamora considered the fact that as far as she had observed, the audience was also searched and not allowed to have either phones or weapons.
This could only mean one of two things: The organizers of the fight were in on it, or someone had been bought out. Gamora lowered her head and, thankful for the noise, relayed this to the others via their communicator. "The only way they're in here is if someone's been paid off or the organizers are behind it."
