It was hard for Gamora to leave her weapons at home, but Ellen had told her this was likely to be something they'd have a problem with, and so Gamora obeyed. It wasn't as though she needed weapons to drop most people, even enhanced in some way or another. And with some "emotions" to work off since Peter had disappeared from this mess of a timeline, Gamora was even amped up.
She showed up to the agreed upon place speaking the password firmly even before the man had time to tell her the building was closed, so on and so forth. He let her through after the weapons and phones dance, which Gamora hated, and on she went.
Gamora gave her name (complete with the last name 'Green', a little in-joke) and held out the entrance fee, once again before she was asked. She wanted to get on with all this. It didn't surprise her to see people of different shapes and forms; in fact she liked it, thinking if her illusion dropped now she wouldn't be so out of place. But it didn't, as Loki had done a good job, and so she was just a normal looking human with great hair. Gamora spotted Ellen but pretended not to, and went over to join the others.
"Five more minutes and we're starting. If anyone else wants to sign up, the time is now." The man in charge shouted over to the impressive audience. "Pairs are drawn at random, winner takes all. If you're feeling lucky and wanna sign up again, you pay again."
Gamora eyed the others, sizing them up. Some of these would be a challenge. Many of them, even. She wondered if the blue man was a displaced alien, and what was under the large woman's clothes.
When they called her name and asked her to step forward, she noticed the very same woman stepping forward too. But they weren't even first or second on the roster, and at least there was no teasing out of the woman before the fight. Gamora focused inwardly, but kept an eye out for anything strange. With a makeshift bell ringing, the first fight commenced.
