Strange was all of those things, and all of those things were very real. These days, he didn't even bother trying to explain it was his real name or profession, even if it was a past one. He was still, very much, a doctor that was in the business of saving lives. Only by much more esoteric means.
"I don't think there's reason to hide, unless you've done something else. Something actually illegal," replied Stephen, quirking one eyebrow up as things went horribly quiet, as though the doctor was waiting for a confession. When it didn't come, he coughed to clear his throat and continued. "I would suggest you do so. The more that help, the better. It's been a pleasure making your acquaintance, Mister Lang. If you have further questions, you can inquire over the network."
Strange turned and raised one hand, making a sweeping circular motion, until a portal opened up, sending magical sparks in every direction. He gave Scott a nod and stepped through, with the cape fluttering in such a manner, it looked as though a corner was waving goodbye.
The portal closed in on itself with a couple of sparkles flung out, fading like dying embers before they hit the floor.
