It was definitely akin to a kid being in a candy store. Hope didn't regret her decision to bring herself into this web of science - there were brilliant minds here, may as well utilize those capabilities. If it helped her suss out a few more facts about the Quantum Realm, then all the better.
"Following that will be tough but I'll try," she grinned a bit. "Pym Particles allow for the shrinking and growth mechanism. They decrease or increase the mass of objects," she procured the vial she had, setting it down carefully - this what what Howard Stark had been so interested in, and what Hank refused to let anyone else study or have. But with Hope now, it was kind of like a peace offering - she didn't want to continue that fight, and she was sympathetic when it came to Howard's death. Nearly seeing her father die in front of her, literally caught in the crossfire and a bullet slamming into his body, had scared her more than anything; she couldn't imagine losing her father. "However, the continuous use of the particles over time have a few adverse effects - they also work by shifting matter into what's called the Kosmos Dimension to allow for the shrinkage or growth."
She began assembling the Wasp suit as she spoke. "The suit's kind of like the delivery mechanism for this serum, a distribution system. That mechanism regulates the amount of particles to go through. The serum in that vial, red, allows for shrinkage, blue for growth," she continued. Which no doubt Tony had seen during the debacle where Scott turned into Giant-Man. It was handy, but really hard to control your bodily functions at that point.
"There's also a storage space for red and blue discs which is kind a way to weaponize the serum - toss a red disc at something, it shrinks. Toss a blue one, it grows. There always needs to be an armor between you and the raw particles though. Because even using the regulator doesn't stop the deterioration. It's the exposure over time to the particles, something my father can tell you," her smile turned wry. "The regulator also ensures that whoever wears the suit won't shrink too much. If they go beyond the size of an insect, they...well, they become subatomic."
And with that, she hit the button at her waist and shrunk to the size of a wasp - her wings fluttered, and she zzzzippped on over to Tony and landed on his shoulder.
