Who: The Hulk & [Open to ALL who might want to interact with him]
What: The Hulk is feeling sorry for himself
When: After this
Rating/Warnings: TBD
Notes: Very much first come first served so whoever gets in there first will be his first vistor and so on and so forth

Ever since the Hulk had been instructed to sleep by Wanda he had been snoozing but that peace could only last so long until sure enough he woke to being behind not bars but glass. It triggered a memory that was soon huffed off as that was puny Banner's memory, not Hulk's.

He hurt, he was confused, and most importantly he was not happy. It wasn't the same enraged type of unhappy that he had been during his rampage but more like a child that had done a bad and was now serving "time", that much was apparent in how he hunched over and picked idly at the nearby material of a blanket which had previously been covering him.

Had he been the Hulk of days past he would have been hitting at the glass with a fury unrivalled but he wasn't, he was different now, Sakaar had really changed him. Large almost wounded eyes lifted to regard his current prison and his brow drew together before a hand rubbed through his hair until he rose to his feet. Thankfully the cell was tall enough so he didn't need to stoop but what he did instead was pace, the occasional pillow being caught in a petulant kick.

He hadn't like Earth before, this recent experience merely intensified that hatred.

Once Tony had finished his visit with Peter, he flew back up to the former Avengers HQ in upstate New York. It didn't take long, and after he stepped out of the suit he put it into a repair cycle, chewed on an aspirin, and ace bandaged an ice pack onto his right wrist. Personal upkeep complete. Time to check on the big green man of the hour.

The elevator descent into the underground levels always felt like it needed some bad muzak, but everyone else had seemed content with uncomfortable bouts of silence. Tony never had been, so he was the guy who hummed a song in the elevator. There wasn't anyone else riding on the damn thing anyway. Lower levels had been locked off when he ended the Avengers and re-branded the entire place as a scientific research center. Manhattan seemed like it was ground zero for fail happening, and so it made more sense to hang out down there. The commute back and forth sucked as much as the elevator ride he was currently trying to hum his way through.

When the doors opened to the floor that Hulk was locked up on, he walked forward with the sort of confidence one would expect from a guy with a net worth of 12.4 billion, that flew around in an armored suit that was painted hot rod red. Inwardly he wasn't sure what to expect, or what he was trying to do. Getting Bruce to revert back out of his current state was a high priority in Tony's mind.

He got close enough to see a pillow land against the glass, kicked there courtesy of a giant green foot.

He casually leaned a shoulder against the thick glass and rapped a knuckle on it to get the big pacing guy's attention. There was already an open comm in and out, so it didn't feel so closed off and uncomfortably quiet in there.

"Hi!" he said, with cheerfulness that he didn't really feel as much on the inside. "First time meeting without me wearing a suit, or most of a suit. Weird. So, uhh, you doing ok there, big guy? Those pillows giving you problems?"

At first the Hulk did nothing to acknowledge the man known as Stark especially as he was quite happily sulking. Vividly sulking. He knew his face from Bruce so it wasn't like he didn't know who he was, but Tony was right, this was the first time he was seeing him without him in a suit or most of a suit.

Another pillow went flying across the cell before he lifted his large shoulders.

"MAKE GOOD THINGS TO KICK," he shared as he picked up one and frowned as he proceeded to tug on a tassle, it was stringy and Hulk didn't understand the need for it. "HULK NOT LIKE BEING LOCKED UP."

"Yeah, well. I wish we didn't have to lock you up," Tony said with a shrug that resulted in a wince. "I get it. You're pissed off. I'm pissed off for you. Do you remember what happened that set you off?"

He looked around and found a chair nearby. Sitting down was probably good, before he fell down. He didn't seem to have a problem having a discussion with Hulk, speaking in the exact same tone and mannerism he would with absolutely anyone else. Friend or foe, it didn't matter. Tony was not above chit chat, even when he felt inward discomfort over what was going on around him.

He dragged the chair over while waiting to see if Hulk would answer.

Hulk turned his head to regard Tony closely though the huff he gave indicated that he didn’t really believe him. People liked locking Hulk up, it was just the way it was. Earth was not a big fan of him, so much so that he was chased pretty much wherever he went. Bruce more than the Hulk. But then when things got too much for Bruce and he was in danger, angry or worked up the Hulk came out.

“SHOT FIRED AT PUNY BANNER,” Hulk offered. “BIG THING MADE BIG BOOM”

He tangled his fingers in the stringy part of the cushion and then looked something akin to wounded when he accidentally ripped it off and fluff came out. The Hulk did not enjoy talking about Bruce, but understood that at this time it was necessary.

"Yeah, that's what I thought."

Tony sat down with a huff, slouching down and raising an eyebrow at the pillow. That was replaceable. Part of a city and the people living in it? Wasn't. He didn't want to lock the big guy away in his room like a toddler in time out, but there wasn't much choice until Hulk cooled off, and there was the possibility that 'puny Banner' could come back.

"Good news, I believe you. Bad news, we're gonna have a tough time convincing people of that when you go full wrecking ball. We have got to get you into anger management therapy. Anyway, this is temporary. We're gonna protect you if any bad guys show up to fire shots again. And don't worry about the pillow. I'll replace it. Don't like tassels? No more tassels. You name it, you got it. What'd you want, besides out of that cage? Because no can do on that front."

Some lines couldn't be crossed.

The Hulk grumped quite dramatically as he came to a sitting position on the ground with the now destroyed pillow discarded as he propped his head up in his hand, furrowed brow and dark eyes fixed on a point on the floor, until that gaze lifted to look at Tony.

“EARTH NO LIKE HULK. HULK BETTER ON SAKAAR. LOTS OF FIGHTS” He did snort at the idea of them protecting him from the bad guys because nothing and nobody could hurt the Hulk. ”THAT FUNNY. YOU PROTECT ME. HAH!” And the laugh was booming though it had no sooner come that it stopped and his lips pressed into a thin line.

“IS ANGRY GIRL OKAY?”

Tony actually looked surprised and then started to smile when Hulk was laughing. Hulk had a sense of humor, and that was actually pretty awesome. Even if he was punchy and lost it big time.

"Hey, we've got lots to fight here, if you want to help. But we'd need you to not mow down everything else. I know you can do that, because I've seen you do it. You've helped. You saved me! Some of us on Earth like Hulk a lot. We like Banner too, and yeah you might think he's puny, but you two have something you can, like, offer each other. I guess. Make it more cohesive. Better, I guess."

Tony could only manage folding one arm over himself as he slouched down, the other arm had an achy shoulder he didn't want to mess with just yet.

"Angry girl. You mean Val? Yeah. Loki's healing her up. You wanna see her? I can get her in here when she's able, or we can put up a Skype type thing so you two can talk face-to-face. Probably not as fun as throwing plants at your head, so...."

Tony smiled apologetically. It was good that Hulk had a buddy and no one was as durable as a Valkyrie.

Hulk hmphed to himself again because the only reason he had done what he had was because somebody had tried to kill Banner and then all those little people had started firing at him. “BET YOU LIKE BANNER BETTER” the Hulk argued, it was a similar argument to one he’d had with Thor on Sakaar. “HULK BETTER. MORE FUN.”

He visibly relaxed when he heard that Valkyrie was going to be okay and he blew out a breath he hadn’t been aware he’d been holding. “HULK WOULD LIKE TO SEE ANGRY GIRL. SEE HER FOR HIMSELF.”

He and the Valkyrie had built a good friendship during all the time spent on Sakaar together.

Tony was trying not to laugh because obviously the big guy was upset, and him laughing would make it worse. He also knew it was a nervous tick of his, and if he laughed it wouldn't be done out of sheer amusement. That was why he ducked his head down a little bit and tried to stifle a snerk with his face scrunched up.

Sulky Hulk was kind of cool, actually. He did miss Bruce though, and he did want Bruce back. He coughed to clear his throat, like that would cover up the stifling, and was able to keep a straight face again.

"Hey, I like Bruce. He's my friend. But there's no reason you and I can't be friends, too. I'm here to help you too, ok? So whatever you want....pizza, violent cartoons, Angry Girl? I'll make sure you get it."

Hulk’s eyes narrowed once more as he looked rather intently at Tony as if he were some sort of rubix cube and the Hulk was trying to put it together before he got too frustrated and smashed it. He eventually heaved out another deep heavy breath. “PIZZA. HULK EAT PIZZA. LOTS OF PIZZA” Slight pause. “AND HULK WANT TO SEE ANGRY GIRL. MAKE SURE SHE’S OKAY”

The pillow he’d in effect torn apart was picked up and lifted up for Tony to see.

"Ok, can do," Tony said, folding his arms over himself. It wasn't even defensively done, but as though he was trying to figure out a puzzle from his side of the glass, too. He tilted his head a little and squinted, trying to see where Bruce might be in there, or not in there. He wasn't sure.

"If you need anything, I want you to tell Friday. She's the nice lady voice you'll hear, if you say her name. You tell her anything you want or need, and we're gonna make sure you get it. And that wall over there?" He raised one finger out from under the crook of his arm to point at a wall to the left side of the glass cage. "Holo display. You say what you want to watch, and it'll show you. You can Friday that too, and if you want something else, say 'change channel.' Easy peasy."

He tapped that finger against his arm, even if it hurt a little bit.

"I'll get in touch with Angry Girl. You can see her on that wall too." He lobbed a huge grin at Hulk. "Are we copacetic, ya big lug?"

Hulk turned his head as Tony gestured to the wall to the left side of the glass cage. He could watch whatever he wanted? Wonder if Earth cartoons were as good as the stuff he’d watched on Sakaar. He’d find that out later, when he was alone, and nobody would think any less of him.

“HUH?” because honestly the Hulk had no idea what that word meant and was beginning to wonder if he was somehow being insulted by the tiny man not in big red and gold metal armor. “HULK NOT LIKE BIG WORDS. BIG WORDS MAKE HULK HEAD HURT.”

Quite the opposite of Bruce.

"Ooops! It means are we good, you and me. No hard feelings? Maybe someday I can hop in the suit and we can duke it out for fun instead. I wouldn't mind going a few rounds as long as you and I were doing it for a laugh. Not because...other stuff."

Tony stood up, walking toward the thick glass wall.

"Hey. That wasn't your fault. Someone else did that to you and we need to find them. We're gonna need help making 'em pay. So you and Bruce both need to understand that. I mean, however this works. It's not your fault. You lost your shit big time. I've done it before too. It happens."

Usually without a body count involved. He tried to hide a wince.

Hulk snorted, obviously amused by Tony’s rapid backpedalling, before simply giving a nod of his head. “WE GOOD TINY MAN”

His brow drew together as Tony talked about making whoever did this to them and he simply gave a nod because he could agree on one thing and that was they needed to make them pay.“HULK HELP. THEY SHOOT BANNER AND ANGRY GIRL. HULK WANT PAYBACK”

The Hulk unlike Bruce wasn’t as aware of the consequences of his actions.

That was good. Bruce was right, and Hulk was much more communicative. What was even better was that Hulk was on board to help out if they needed him. Hopefully that payback on the bad guys wouldn't rack up a civilian body count. Tony wasn't going to sleep well for weeks while he processed it out, and he could only imagine what Bruce would be like, if he ever came back.

Knowing he wasn't going to be able to explain it in any sort of acceptable way, Tony mustered up a grin and plopped a palm up against the glass.

"High five. C'mon. Little slap, not a big slap."

The Hulk rose from his previously seated position and closed the distance at which point sure enough his large hand slapped against the glass with considerable force but for Hulk that was a little slap as a big slap might have fractured the glass.

"Rock on," Tony said, after blinking a few times at how hard that wall rattled. Definitely pulling back on the power of that high five, which was good. Controlled. Tony was nodding like he was taking a whole lot of mental notes.

He left his hand up there for a moment, even giving the glass another pat.

"All right. You need anything, you say 'Friday' and you ask. She can connect you to me, too. I'm gonna be right upstairs, and it'll only take me a sec to get down here. And we'll make sure you get lotsa visitors. And pizza."

He lowered his hand and jabbed a thumb over his shoulder toward the exit.

"I'm goin' that way," he said, before heading for the door at a leisurely pace. "I'll visit again. You're gonna get sick of me. Promise."

With the wave of one hand, Tony went back to the elevator and got to work tracking down bad guys.

Only a few days had passed since Valkyrie had been shot, but it felt like an eternity. Probably because she had never been still for so long, even when drunk off her mind. She had gotten permission to move, at last, from Loki, and immediately had made for where the Big Guy was holed up.

It sort-of hurt to walk. She couldn't move at her usual pace, and her insides felt weird. She hated it. Still, if ever she should take advantage of her stir-craziness and permission to leave the house, it would be to come here. If only to say goodbye.

He looked as forlorn as she felt. Calm, too, and so Val only tapped on the glass with the utmost gentleness.

"Hey Big Guy," she murmured, leaning her forehead into the glass. She was tired. What kind of valkyrie ever got tired? A sham, probably.

Time was not something the Hulk tended to worry about especially as Banner spent too much time worrying about it, but the longer he spent in this glass cage the more aware he became of just how slow everything was. He had as per Tony's instructions been watching a myriad of different shows and enjoying the new cushions without tassels.

He was bored, however, very bored.

Thankfully he'd had Thor and the other one called Sif for company before they had left to get air and some food so now? Now he was alone. But not for long as angry girl appeared and Hulk immediately rose to his feet to close the distance and press a hand against the glass.

"HEY ANGRY GIRL," he said with concern in his eyes as she seemed far more subdued than he was used to seeing. "YOU OKAY?"

It might have been her fragile state that made the gesture of having Hulk touch the glass cause a pang in Val's heart that almost formed a knot in her throat. Either way, she stopped tapping on the glass with her fingers and stretched her palm over his instead, smiling.

"I'm okay. Big scar." She replied, taking a step back to look him over. "Are you okay, Big Guy? Are they treating you well here?"

She sighed, and the scar pulled a bit, which made Val set her jaw, but she said nothing. "I'm sorry we didn't have more fun the other day."

Hulk gave a thoroughly disgruntled sound when Valkyrie admitted to the fact she had a scar from the attack. If he hadn't already taken care of the person who had shot her he would have liked to kill them all over again.

"HULK OKAY. BORED BUT OKAY. GOOD TV. NICE PILLOWS." Much better than the last cage that had been built to house him. "IT OKAY. BAD MEN WITH BAD GUNS."

If she could, Valkyrie would dig them up to kill them all over again for various reasons, not all of them to do with the hole presently healing on her lower abdomen. Then again they probably weren't buried yet. In any case when she found whoever was responsible she was going to beat the living hide out of them before killing them. Her kind of therapy worked.

"You watch TV? What do you like?" Val asked, smiling a little wider now. "Yeah. We're going to have more fun when we find out who they are."

"HULK LIKE CARTOONS. LOONEY TUNES. TOM AND JERRY. FUNNY STUFF." The Hulk shared with all the enthusiasm of a young child and its interest. "ALSO JERRY SPRINGER. THAT FUNNY." Especially when hair came off and people wrestled in jello.

He gave a nod and a slow grin which was nothing short of unsettling. "HULK GONNA SMASH THEM, HARD. MAKE THEM HURT."

Hulk had also been promised by Thor that he would be allowed to help crush the men who had done this to not only Valkyrie but Thor as well. He was allowed to smash this time.

Valkyrie had no idea what any of that was, except that it was a sort of entertainment for children. It was good that he was having fun, though. Although, if Val had a choice she'd have put him somewhere bigger, or let him out somewhere to catch some air. But maybe that wasn't feasible.

She did love it when the Hulk got that face on, that predatory grin of someone who knew they were going to tear so many apart they'd be coated in blood before the day was out. It reminded her of herself once she started fighting for Asgard but before the whole thing had gone to shit. "Yeah y'are. And so am I. Not so much smash as stab, but no one ever smashes as good as you anyway."

"HULK SMASH GOOD," Hulk agreed with a further grin and nod of his head. He was happy to hear that Valkyrie would be joining them in their bid to destroy and smash the people who had put this entire thing into motion.

He was however tiring of being locked up in this giant goldfish bowl (not him Banner's thoughts) and he pushed a breath out.

Val grinned back, enjoying how his smashing prowess made the Hulk feel definitely better about himself. His impatient sigh, however, made Valkyrie's own smile falter and she furrowed her brow at him.

"You're bored in here aren't you?" She tapped her fingers on the glass again, sighing compassionately. "I know how that feels. I've been in bed since I got shot, Loki wouldn't let me move. I hope we get to smash and stab soon too."

"Good. I look forward to wreaking some havoc instead of having my arse handed to me. It'll be good to have you there." Val replied. She had come to wish, recently, that there was a way to separate Bruce from the Hulk and have them both at once. That way she wouldn't have to feel guilty by enjoying one's company.

Sitting on the floor, she tilted her head towards the glass. "Hey, since we can't do anything else, why don't you turn the TV a bit this way so we can watch some together?"

At least she wouldn't be doing so at home, in bed. That was a start.

Pietro had told her that visiting the Hulk was a bad idea. The last time they had seen Bruce Banner - even when they had been on the same team - he had threatened to choke her without even becoming the Monster. But, as she had reminded him, she was not seeing Dr Banner, she was visiting the Hulk and whilst she had a suspicion they were the same but not the same, she wanted to learn a little more.

Besides, she wondered if he was lonely, trapped in a cage. She knew how that felt and it bothered her to think of someone else in such a manner. When she had briefly touched his mind that first time she saw someone who was reacting because he didn't understand what had happened, an outburst of anger because someone had tried to hurt him and Banner. And then people kept trying to hurt him.

As she stepped into the large room, seeing the huge glass cell in the centre and Hulk in the middle of it all, she drew in a slow breath and approached the glass slowly, her head tilted to the side and a small, soft smile on her lips.

"Hello, Hulk," she started, "are you alright in here?"

Hulk was at the time of Wanda's arrival stuffing or attempting to stuff another pillow that had become the untimely victim of a frustrated outburst from big green.

He was bored, so bored, and he was starting to itch for freedom.

Wanda smiled when he looked at her and she stopped on the other side of the glass, standing almost up against it. "What happened to the pillow?" she asked, relieved that he was alright.

She had not thought Tony Stark would put Hulk in the same manner of restraints that she, herself, had been subjected to, but the thought had crossed her mind. At least the cage he was in was large, he had plenty of room to move about.

It wasn't that Natasha had been putting off going to see the Hulk, it was just that she'd been putting off going to see the Hulk. Partly because she had been helping so much with the clean up efforts that she'd had little time to do anything other than shower, eat and sleep but also because there was a large amount of apprehension in her mind with regards to what would happen when she came to see him.

But here she was. She stood by the door for a long time, watching him watch cartoons and kick pillows around, laughing as they hit the glass and bounced backwards, finishing off the cold pizza that seemed to have been in the boxes that were piled away in one corner for the automated system to clean up and take away.

Eventually, she knew she couldn't just stand in the shadows and watch him point and laugh at the cartoons he was watching, like a toddler who was content with his surroundings. Whatever had happened on that planet had made him... different. More communicative, if the security footage she had watched was to be believed.

She supposed, to some extent, she was worried that he would react badly to seeing her; if he didn't want to go back, seeing the person who used the lullaby on him would mean that he'd not want anything to do with her. Likewise, she didn't want to upset him and cause him to try and break anything.

But she was here, and she owed it to Bruce - and Hulk - to try.

"Hey big guy," she said, her voice low as she emerged from the shadows to approach the glass.

The Hulk was different now. Far more communicative and less aggressive without reason these days. That said not too much had changed as proven by the fact all it had taken was for a missile to be fired for big green and angry to come out. Still, better the Hulk than Banner.

On Sakaar the only reason the Hulk hadn't continued to hold the reins was because of Natasha. Her picture and her voice, it had forced Banner to the surface and the Hulk hadn't been able to fight him back under. That was why when he heard that voice he rather purposefully didn't look up, he wasn't in the mood to give over control again.

He instead busied himself with looking rather intently at the pillow in his hands. "HEY"
