Thor had been enjoying a lengthy, hot shower when he heard some conversation going on in the apartment. He knew at least that Loki would not be fool enough to injure Darcy. He seemed fairly content with the state of things, at least as far as Loki was ever content about anything.
For that reason, he saw no need to rush right out and see how the meeting was progressing. By the time he was dried off and again clothed, he heard the door shut decidedly. He wondered where they might have gone when he spied no sign of them. He strolled over to the table where Loki's computing machine was open.
When he saw the story, he had no doubt that it was the Valkyrie who was climbing the statue in New York harbor. No doubt that was where Loki and Darcy had gone to, perhaps to cheer on her efforts. It sounded like a harmless distraction, so he decided to join them. It wasn't that far, so he made his way up to the roof of the building.
With a running jump, he traversed entire blocks at a time, leaping from one roof to another, until he found himself at the river. Landing by the waterside, he got some startled looks from bicycle riders and dog walkers, but otherwise, the cold weather made the area rather sparse of humans.
He spotted the ferry in the water and leapt to it, and then a final leap to the island of the statue. He straightened up and stuffed his hands into his jean jacket, strolling over to where the entire crowd was observing the intrepid climber. He spotted Loki first, because his brother had a gift for standing out in a crowd. Then he saw Darcy and waved, calling out to her. "Darcy!"
