"Ah. My apologies," Loki said, barely audible over the music. "This must be an incredibly trying time for you."
That clue was definitely taken, and he downed the remains of his own drink, setting the glass aside on the bar. He wasn't sure what could be done about financial improvement, as their own sources were dwindling, quickly. He wondered at how much something like this might pay, and it didn't seem like it was enough to cover the outlandish amounts demanded for things like lighting or water, which were free to all on Asgard.
"This is a welcome distraction," he admitted. He was used to going things alone, and apparently would have to get used to it, seeing as how he was so adept at keeping others at arm's length. "It reminds me of a world that I recently visited. Things were quite festive there. Unfortunately, there was a melt stick periodically involved. Which I did not want to meet the end of, for the name well described what it was capable of."
He grinned and shrugged a little, holding one hand out toward the bar.
