Part 2: The Fourth Day (see ooc!)
Four days had passed, during which the feast continued alongside sparring matches and feats of strength in the training yards. In the evening, the guests moved into the great hall to take their places at the tables. In that time, many realms reaffirmed their friendship and consolidated their diplomatic ties.
As the revelry continues, a commotion draws everyone's attention. One of the Vanir dropped a chalice with a clatter, clawing at their throat while turning an ashen gray. As they tumbled from the bench to the ground, healers rushed to offer aid, and others stopped and stared.
"Poison!" cried out the Lord of the Vanir. "Who dares kill my kinsman!"
As if stepping out of thin air, five lithe forms emerged. They were clad in dark armor and white masks with hollow black eyes. Dark Elf assassins of Svartalfheim, who had waited five hundred years for the opportunity for revenge.
"Malekith bids you the goodest of nights, and tidings of a war renewed!" shouted the leader, throwing what looked like a grenade into the air. It implodes before hitting the ground, creating a small black hole that devours the nearby Asgardian dancers.
There is mayhem as the guards try to protect the guests. However, the Svartálfar are agile and quick on their feet, bending like reeds away from blades and spears alike. They blast at several guards with energy weapons, and those that get too close are fended off with gleaming blades. Many spells bounce off them harmlessly, but any physical blows and energy blasts seem to do some harm. This immortal race was born in the primordial chaos before light existed and could withstand wielding an Infinity Stone. But these assassins have stones of another kind on them: Kursed stones. A couple assassins break these rocks with their clenched fists, cinders infusing and consuming their bodies. They grow in power and stature as they roar in agony.
The Frost Giants of Jotunheim and the fiery folk of Muspelheim watch the proceedings from their tables with interest. They itch to take part, but they are not unwise either. With interest, they watch to see what defenses and powers Asgardia and her allies possess.
