It was weird having a 4th without Steve around. Tony knew that Cap deserved a retirement. He had more than earned it. Morgan was nearby with Happy, who had been acting as a go between between him and Pepper since their separation. Since there was so much money and business contracts involved - despite Tony telling the lawyers to give it all to her - the haggling was going on over a year.
In a way, he regretted tinkering with his own body which was the straw that broke the camel's back. But in another way, he didn't regret it. He felt fantastic, especially after a heart attack scare that Bruce gave him one hell of a staring at about.
