Who: Kitty Pryde & OPEN What: Kitty is trying to settle in When: This afternoon Notes/Warnings: Potential references to torture
Upon waking, Kitty had several long moments of complete panic at finding herself in an unfamiliar place. This panic resulted in her phasing through her bed and hitting the floor with a loud THUNK. As she laid under the bed, staring up at the base, she remembered the events of the previous night. Or at least she assumed it was the previous night since she wasn't sure how long she'd slept. She wriggled her way out from under the bed and sat on the edge, trying to put her thoughts together.
The previous night, when she was finally alone, she had broken down and cried for a long time. Everything from the past six months came crashing down on her and she didn't see any reason to try and hold back. When she was finally cried out, she'd taken a very long, very hot shower and then asked Friday to get her some food delivered from the closest Jewish deli. After months of eating nothing other than protein paste, Kitty knew she couldn't gorge herself, so she stuck with some matzo ball soup and rye bread. As much as she wanted one of everything on the menu, she didn't want to make herself sick.
Kitty wasn't sure what to do next. It was obvious that she was in danger from the people who had taken her, that there was a chance they might come after her again. So far, this place had proven to be safe and she felt better knowing that Pete was in the next room. The thing she wanted to do most was contact her parents, but even with a burner phone, she was afraid that it would put them in danger, so as much as she wanted to reassure them that she was okay, she refrained for now.
In addition to the burner phone, she'd received a small package of clothes, so she showered again and then donned her new underwear, sports bra, leggings, and t-shirt. Part of her wanted to knock on Pete's door, to see how he was doing and to reassure herself that he was there since if it wasn't for him, she would never have escaped, but she figured it might be a little too early for him. Instead, she wandered out to the common area of the floor and decided to poke around the kitchen to see what she might be able to eat for breakfast.
