Re: Party's Over - the epilogue
That woman really was intimidating too, actually. Regardless, Shades was sticking to his guns (still firmly holstered at his sides).
It quickly became clear that the quinjets were being monitored and were deemed safe, when he said, "We're going to need you to go back to your room or leave the island the way you came. Any deviation from your flight plan will be viewed as a hostile act."
"Hostile?" A slow grin grew on Thor's face. He could almost feel himself itching for a fight. After all - a good skirmish was the only thing this wedding was missing (not that he would admit that ever).
"I find your tone and lack of decorum hostile. I agree with my friend Stark - this is not the way to treat guests and we will voice our displeasure loudly and often regarding this experience. For the amount of money invested here today, we are being treated as commoners, below our station. Truly, it is disappointing. If you must corral us as livestock, it shall be here, where there is music and food and positive energy."
Nope, Shades McGee wasn't budging.
"We apologize if it's interrupted your wedding party. If you refuse, however, we will be forced to escort you to your rooms," Shades said, but made sure to add with a discomforting smile, "for your safety."
Jane knew that look. She let her hand drift, brushing her fingers across Thor's. "I doubt you could make me any safer than the people in this room." She exhaled sharply. "Everything is ruined."
Shades still wasn't taking no for an answer, even if he was aiming for a lightning zap.
"You are guests in this facility, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave," he pointed out, while raising a hand and giving a twirling hand motion like he was rounding people up.
