The Escape - closed thread
Loki didn't hesitate or complain. Instead, he used the remaining energy he had to not only cast an illusion but to shift his shape until he resembled Sif. Then he steeled himself as well, walking on his own, as though by looking like Sif gave him some of her strength and resolve.
"Lead on, my saviors. I shall follow, and be in your debts later." He would find a way to repay them both, although it might take a bit of recovery time before he could do so.
Meanwhile, the guard outside in the hallway was still frozen in place, like time stood still. He was still under the Scarlet Witch's command, just as the other guards were. Meanwhile, in the security center, one of the maintenance personnel had just shown up. Some bickering was ensuing about wiring fizzling out, and no one expected an escape. Yet. Those guards giving the 'all clear' made them think it was nothing more than a technical issue.
As Loki Sif followed, back at the New York Sanctum, Stephen had picked up the telepathic message from Wanda with ease. He readied to open a portal for Wanda, to help take her where she needed to be, as soon as they were all in place.
