Shuri & Tony - and a round-about observation...
She blinked. "Odin is dead? I did not think gods could die." She held up one finger of her free hand. "Of course, that was when they were myths in books, not actually real people, which they obviously are." Shuri looked at one dancing couple in particular: the bride and groom. Thor, God of Thunder and Dr. Jane Foster, renowned scientist. They looked happy and in love. "Funny old world, uh?"
She had read the news and was aware of the storm Thor had caused in New York. It was quite the mess and had led to all sorts of ramifications. Thank goodness that was over now and the Asgardians could move on with their lives in some semblance of peace. Now they just had to liberate Loki.
"Thinking further on that, Odin might have been all-knowing in the legends we have, but he was a person and he was not perfect. I think asking Thor, at some point in the future would be acceptable and beneficial, but not right now, no." Certainly not on his wedding day and with so much else going on.
Shuri stepped a little closer to Tony and lowered her voice. "So. I am sure those in charge here know who we are, with high-profile superheroes and so on milling around. It is not as if you could hide it nor do you seem to have tried." She met Stark's eyes. "If this place is as unusual as we think..." 'Unusual' being an alternate word for 'suspicious' and 'evil' and 'think' being another word for 'know'... "Is it not likely that we might receive some special attention?" With that statement, she was expressing a concern regarding the likelihood of the other shoe dropping.
It was wonderful to discuss quantum theories with Tony Stark and she hoped they could have more conversations like this, but given the circumstances, she thought she would inquire.
