T'Challa and Nebula
T'Challa chuckled, a rumble of sound, thunder rolling across the plain. "I really cannot say," he admitted. "This is the first time I have spent most of my days on American soil. But I suppose in a way, yes, it is always this exciting - I recall a timeline where we fought on the banks of the Hudson, after turning to dust and remaining that way for five years."
It was odd, though - those in Wakanda put great stock and belief in what waited for them in the afterlife, especially those who carried the mantel of Panther. They would ascend, they would see their ancestors - but T'Challa hadn't. He saw nothing.
The darkness and the emptiness still unnerved him to this day.
"We will do all we can do - and try and build a life here, because in a way it is a second chance for some of us," he added, thinking of Natasha. "I am glad the Wolf is learning to live again too. He flourished in Wakanda, farming, and it was quiet but here - it's like being home again."
