T'Challa and Open
Ah, yes. The 4th of July. When the colonizers celebrated the blatantly unjust foundations of these stolen lands, and the fact that Native Americans and other minority groups have endured the effects of systemic racism for many years, the fact that it was there for the entire world to see - in their founding documents, in their Declaration of Independence, in their Constitution.
How cheery. But T'Challa would go to celebrate the birthday of Steve Rogers because - well, he was a good man and a friend and why not?
He wore a sleek Dashiki suit in red, embroidered with gold, carrying a drink in his hand - it seemed to be lemonade, with kind of a berry flavoring to it as well; he also had to admit he was a fan of hamburgers and hot dogs, unhealthy but tasty fare. The hot dog carts in New York City were a strange and beatific wonder. Of course, he felt a little guilty being at a celebration while the Asgardians continued to be punished for the actions of one, so he did not plan to stay long, just enough to pay respects to the birthday fellow.
