While Peter wished Ned was from a future point where he could confirm that everything turned out all right in the end, not having any super horrible news to report from the other universe was better than the alternative, at least. "Thanks, man. If anyone could help me out there, it's you." As daunting as the whole situation was (and how, honestly, he was probably pretty screwed), he had faith in his friends.
"When we finish these hot dogs, we should go find MJ. She's around here somewhere, and we could catch you up on all the stuff you've missed." Between the godzilla-esque creatures roaming New York and his newer stupider decisions with Loki, there were a lot of stories to tell. "I'm so glad you're here."
