A nod of her head in thanks was her response to his admission to adding extra sweetener to her drink. Of course it was on purpose; she wouldn't doubt that he still remembered how she took her tea.
To say she actually believed everything he was telling her made Christine wonder if she was the one experiencing some sort of psychotic break. This was crazy. She'd always felt like there was far more to the world, the galaxy, the universe and everything in between than what they as humans knew, but this went so far beyond all of that.
That look on his face was one she knew. He was trying to be kind of gentle about it even in his bluntness, and that wasn't lost on her. Another sip of tea, then she set the teacup on a coaster on the coffee table across from them. Slowly, she turned sideways so she could actually face him. "I need more specifics than that. You have to break it down for me, Stephen. I'm not stupid but this is.. This goes so much further than anything I found when I was.." That was about as much of an admission that she'd been trying to figure out what was going on with him as she'd give just yet. "Do other people know about this? Are you trying to handle it by yourself?"
