Did she want to let herself go down the rabbit hole of asking how any of this was possible? Well, first, she'd need to found out what this actually was. The abbreviated version she'd gotten from him while she was patching him up and saving his life was not exactly a thorough explanation. She'd tried doing research herself, but nothing was concrete and she didn't know what to believe. The curious part of her did want to know. The part of her that was eager to learn, to find out what was going on with the man she really did believe she had a future with, wanted to know everything. The logical side of her, the one that was so desperate to cling to the idea that her ex boyfriend was just really into holistic methods of healing and had ditched designer clothing because that was easier than anything else.
But the second she let him guide her through that portal, she'd left logic behind and suddenly found herself standing in her apartment with Stephen Strange and now she had to accept what he was going to tell her as truth because there were no other options. And she could put her faith in that. One look at the smirk on his face and she knew that was true.
Her gaze left his face to the remnants of the portal and the sparks that dissipated in its wake as it vanished. "Before we get started, do I need tea, or should I just sit down?"
