Who: Thor and Lady Sif
What: Time to break the bad news
When: Backdated. After this
Rating: TBD

Thor had wanted to speak to Sif as soon as he learned of her arrival. However, all that he had to tell her was bad news and there were crises to address first. Nonetheless, he could put it off no longer. Better to face it head on and get it over with, then they could commiserate.

He had spoken to her on the network and given her a location to meet him. After spending some time with the Valkyrie to find them a pair of hounds at a 'shelter' he proceeded to Center Park to meet with his old friend. He was looking forward to seeing her, despite the sad occasion for it. Not only was Asgard lost to them, so were their closest friends. All the more reason for them to stay together. He would rather not lose anyone else if he could help it.

He made his way to the small, castle-like building, and wandered it's corridors, seeking her out. He knew he could send her a message on the network, but there was no rush. He was certain he could find her. The building was not so vast.

Sif had been busy at work, helping with the fallout of the flying sharks and aiding wherever possible because she would rather be kept occupied than spend too much time considering her current predicament. She was however excited to see Thor especially as it had been such a long time since she had last clasped eyes on her old friend. Too long. Even longer since she had last seen Asgard as banishment was exactly that, banishment. It hurt, ached even, but Sif had respected the wishes even as ill meant as they might have been.

She had arrived earlier than the agreed time as she had not been certain of how long it might take her to find and acquaint herself with the location that Thor had asked her to meet him at. She was dressed in "normal" clothes as to not draw too much unwanted attention but her blades were never far from her grip as it would be foolish to walk around unarmed.

Heightened senses and awareness of her surroundings alerted to another's approach and Sif's head turned to locate the source.

Thor spotted her in the distance and strode in her direction. It was bittersweet, but he smiled, because her face was dear to him. He was still angry at Loki for his part in Sif's banishment, and for turning her away from their door on Midgard, but he was going to make it right. There was very little he could make right, but this was one thing he could do.

"My Lady. You are stuck with us here on Midgard. It is so good to see you, Sif," he said, holding out his arms to embrace her. They had been friends for so long. If it had not been for his quest, and then his imprisonment, she might never have been stranded wherever she had been.

It really had been such a long time since Sif had last clasped eyes on Thor that watching his approach did feel like a sequence of time not too dissimilar from eternity.

"It is good to see you as well," she returned with a genuine warmth as she met and returned Thor's embrace. It was strange that even the smallest of gestures such as a hug could be missed so dearly. "It has been too long."

Sif was strong as always if not stronger but then there had been little else to do than hone her skills.
