Jane also loved her house. Living in a converted midcentury service station wasn't for everyone. But to Jane it felt a lot more like home than the sterile modern aesthetic Tony favored back in New York. To see Thor make himself home here was reassuring he was part of her life. Somewhere in the multiverse, Jane wondered if this what their life would have been life if the Warriors Three hadn't come to get Thor and Loki never sent the Destroyer. The two of them making a home.
Not that they could stay forever. Even now they were bouncing back and forth from New York as needed. Soon the clock would run out and they'd be due back at New Asgard. She hoped she would feel at ease there as Thor was here.
The thing about this house was that it was essentially a lab she'd slapped a bedroom onto. Which for a born workaholic didn't give Jane much of a disincentive to stop working. "Five minutes!" she yelled. At this point in their relationship Jane knew Thor would wait five minutes. Then, if she didn't turn up, come drag her away on minute six. It didn't take that long. By minute three Jane was swearing and beating out a spattering of sparks.
