Jane & Loki
"Oh, but the offer wasn't to copy...whatsoever home work might be?" Loki pointed out, with a quizzical expression. "It would merely be the opportunity to gain your own readings on your own machinery from a close proximity. You would still be able to unravel the puzzle on your own, and since the Bifrost is apparently...gone...I thought you might be lacking such anomalies for further readings."
By Asgardian standards, Loki knew that rebuilding a Bifrost involved some esoteric items, precious metals, and certain relics. She looked a little disappointed that they couldn't speak on the topic of pathways through space. A topic that they both knew about, even if any finer details of machinery had to be left vague. But, having been tutored in statecraft, she knew not to insult her potential sister-in-law if this was a puzzle the scientist wanted to figure out all on her own. She couldn't blame her for wanting that, either. She liked discovering how new things worked, too.
"If you do not want to gather such readings with your instruments, so be it," she continued, cautiously and gently. "I've found that this realm does have rather impressive achievements. Telescopes in space and microscopic machinery. The enter net, with the hub of grub or door dashing. Stations of Play and Ex-boxes. Phone applications such as Instant Grams. Microwave ovens. Processed breaking fast meats and treats. Champagne. All very marvelous and convenient indeed."
