Loki & Wanda (fin?)
"I've grown very fond of the drink as well. Not so with the beverage known as soda. It's too sickeningly sweet, even by my standards. I tend to eat a lot of sweets."
She made a yuck face, and Loki wanted to say more but the time wasn't right for that. She knew the magician was looking their way quite often. Calmly, Loki drew her hand away so she could summon one of the wait staff passing by, conveniently carrying a carefully balanced tray of champagne.
After being given a glass, she cast a spell. The green shimmer of magic moved through the contents, erasing all of the alcohol, but leaving the taste and the bubbles. She held it out to Wanda and said with a smile, "Thank you for speaking with me."
She was grateful for the distraction from her own thoughts, even if it gave her a lot more to think about.
