🎅 Secret Santa Party 🎅
Who: open to anyone who signed up
What: Secret Santa gift exchange! See OOC notes under the cut.
When: right after Christmas.
Ends: midnight Jan 2nd

Christine has thrown together a small party. It's chock full of drinks and deliciously unhealthy snack food. It's nothing fancy and not meant to be. Only a get together for a group of people that can use some holiday de-stressing!

OOC

The party is being held on floor 39, in the common area above the housing floors. A quiet side-room, the library, is where presents are delivered.

Start a thread when you're ready. At any time during the party (sober or not sober!), have them enter the room. An empty table is there. Have them say their name out loud to trigger the delivery spell.

A present will pop through a portal onto the table, and a description or links of what's inside will be given.

You can write a reaction if you want, either by squeeing in the room or running off to give hugs! It's meant to be a quick easy holiday thing and/or something you can mention later at the NYE party (if you suspect who it is from!).

P.S. - Although mentioned in some deliveries, all gifts are secret! It isn't actually marked who it's from, only who it's going to. It's possible to guess who might have sent it. 🕵️‍♀️🎁

This Christmas could be better, considering she was still missing Scott, and the family dynamic she had with him and Cassie and her own parents added into the mix. But it was what it was, and she'd already called Hank and Janet to wish them a happy everything, and maybe this new year would be...better.

Hope was really pulling for that.

Still, she was all about the gift exchange and thought it was a good idea - plus, with her and Christine's Costco finger food selections, how could you go wrong? She went into the designated room and said her name, wondering what would come down the magical chimney.

	The portal opened and down the magic chimney came a very heavy box. It landed on the table with a heavy thud. When opened, it revealed a bevy of scientific equipment for all sorts of scientific study. The insightful Secret Santa who gave this gift surely knew what to look for, and it includes devices that Hope didn't have yet. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Insightful indeed. This had to be from one of her fellow scientists (no one else, besides someone who also spent inordinate amounts of time in the lab with or near her would know what she had and didn't have), and Hope felt a swell of happiness when she saw what her present was.

"Thanks, Secret Santa," she chuckled quietly, jade eyes shining with delight. Now to actually wait until she got to the lab to play with all these goodies, instead of science-ing at what was supposed to be a fun party.
