Her eyes turned back to Kozu when he suggested that he leave. She didn't want him to go, and not only because he would be leaving her with Zuma. Things had gone from wonderful to weird within a matter of moments and she did not want to leave things as they were, Ko could be downright skiddish on occasion and she knew that something so silly as this little mess could easily scare him off. She bit the inside of her lip for a moment, ignoring the younger girl's words for a moment. "You don't have to go, Kozu." she didn't dare call him Ko in front of Zuma, even if she lived in her own little bubble most of the time she did occasionally catch on to things.
"I'm sorry," she added after a moment. "I know this isn't the best of topics to discuss now, perhaps we could move on to something a little less stressful." she looked over to Zuma for a moment just to be sure it did not seem as if she was staring at him. "Your brother does love you a great deal, Zuma, but brothers and fathers have a way of overreacting when their sisters or daughters start to pay attention to boys. It is only natural, you will just have to be easy with him, he will calm down eventually." perhaps it would have been better if she had not tried to patch things up between the two of them, let Zuma forget that they had been acting strange when they walked in, but Xiu was a fixer. She was compelled to try and resolve situations, no matter if they involved her or not.
"I think we've all been a bit stressed lately, perhaps we need to start making time to relax more." she did not suggest leaving the city yet because she was not sure of Zuma's schedule. She needed to suggest it at a time she knew the girl would be unable to join them.
