"It's alright, Zuma, I am always happy to see you," another lie yes, but she was on a roll. "But next time knock first." Her eyes went a little wider when she started questioning Kozu, he was the weak link and all he should really be doing was just smiling, nodding and agreeing with whatever Xiu was saying. Thankfully she was able to think on her feet, otherwise their little affair might have ended before it really began.
"Do you remember my brother, Xiang?" she interjected quickly so Ko would not have to answer her. "He's a year older than you, you know, and he was recently pressed into military service by my father. He wants him to be a great general someday so he is pushing him through training and will probably have him assigned to the Earth Kingdom's special forces. Kozu was asking after him, and you know, your brother is so sweet, his thoughts went right to you." she smiled, it was certainly plausible. "He said he would not know what to do if it were you pressed into that situation, that the worry would eat him alive."
Her eyebrows went up when she asked about the pillow as if she had not noticed it before. "Oh, he told me he hurt his arm and it feels better when he rests it on a pillow. You know," there was a light in her eyes when she was hit with a topic that would get both of their minds off of what Zuma had almost walked in on. "I think that Master Sato works him much too hard, he ought to take some time off."
