Who: Ji, OTA.
When: Just after noon.
Where: The city center.
What: Ji is experiencing a handsome windfall.
"Making drops in broad daylight, especially out in public isn't the smartest thing, Kid. How long you've been running this, you ought to know that by now." grumbled one of the city guards as he handed a bag to the man to his left as they leaned against a shaded wall.
Ji opened the bag and inhaled, taking a good long smell of the money. Getting his hands on fresh money was as near to a rapturous, sexual experience he could have without a girl and with all of his clothes on. "Did you really think I would meet you on your terms or on your turf?" he smiled to himself as he shook his head and closed the bag. "I know you guards, like to pull good honest business men, like myself, into dimly lit rooms and beat us senseless just so you can keep your money after a job is done." he liked public places, they were far better cover for whatever it was he was getting up to than most people would likely believe.
The guard snorted and replaced his faceplate, "You're not honest."
"I wouldn't say that," the young man smiled. "I can be honest with your boss if you'd like, I can tell him about what you and his wife like to get up to while he's at work. I can also tell him about this little job you just had my boys do, I bet your father-in-law would like to know as well. Don't push me, our little arrangement has been quite nice, I'd love for it to continue." but by the time the guard thought to say anything Ji had already pushed himself off the wall and headed toward the shops.
Not so long later, after he purchased a nice new parasol covered in cherry blossoms and little multicolored birds, he picked himself a nice spot by the fountain and half reclined under the shade watching the people go by. He had nowhere else to be, his boys were working and his brother was probably at his job, Ji always took breaks when he could and saw this as a perfect opportunity to relax and do nothing. But the way Ji relaxed was perhaps a bit different than most normal people, he liked to pick and annoy, to get people going. After he had sat there for a few minutes he spotted an old woman and her teenage granddaughter and decided it was a perfect time to make an annoyance of himself. "Hey there, pretty lady!" he called to them. "Come and sit beside me and I'll tell you the future of your love life!"
The old woman, genuinely offended pulled her charge along faster, though he could see that the girl was smiling. "Now, now, Grandmother, I was talking to you!" which didn't seem to give her pause at all and Ji could only laugh. He leaned back and closed his eyes, contemplating buying himself a mango when he had the energy to get up again.
