"Heh, guess you're lucky, then." He shrugged, glad she was happy, but mildly frustrated that his efforts were not yielding any results. It was like trying to charm a brick wall, which was not a good sign for him. Maybe she needed more time? She wasn't outright pushing him away, so he could linger and talk, see where things led.
"That's awesome, then." He nodded and flashed her another grin. "So long as you're happy with your life, that's all that matters." And he did believe that, most did not approve of him, his life or think he was well off at all, but he was in Heaven, he loved every single minute of it. "Heh, well... you do it for the animals. I hope they'd understand that."
