Who: Kozu, OTA
When: Monday evening (Backdated)
Where: City central
What: Sword dancing display at the Fall Festival

Kozu stood among the crowds watching the sword dance display going on at the city center, a hint of a pleased smile touching his lips. The sunset was painting the sky fire red, and the torches burning at the corners of the stage caused the twin swords used by the students to catch and reflect the colors, turning the display into something even more stunning. Twin swords had once been considered weaponry of the Earth Kingdom, but Fire Lord Zuko had mainstreamed their use in the fire nation. The students used them with great skill, showing practical uses of them with thrusts, jabs, sweeps and parries, but also boasted more flashy moves such as tossing the swords back and forth to each other and sending them spinning several feet up into the air in a synchronized dance.

Ko had instructed this group almost exclusively, though there had been others to help with the choreography, as Ko was much more of a fighter than a performer. He was pleaded with his students, and the performance was quite impressive, he could not have picked a better day or time had he tried. He was quite impressed with how the silver of the swords flashed red and gold with the sunset and torches, he felt quite accomplished watching it all. He had chosen to not take part in the performance, he was not the strongest with swords, preferring bo staffs instead, and he had no desire to be up on stage and before people any more than he normally was during the festivals. He was happy to be in the crowd watching, even if he could feel eyes on his back.

The performance ended and Ko allowed himself a rare smile and applauded with the crowd. It had been a very impressive performance, he would have to praise his students appropriately next session. The crowd began to dissipate to wander through the festival stands of food, trinkets and other attractions. Ko found himself standing rather lost, dark eyes scanning the street for something to distract himself with. He smoothed down his black shirt as he moved to a stand, ordering some special festival tea, pausing to take in the aromas of it before he took a slow sip. He stood back as he sipped his tea and watched the city pass him by.
