"Well unless you've suddenly become a Waterbender, we're fresh out of luck," Kaja commented dryly, but had no more than raised her hand to try and draw the heat out of the burn before Zuma had pulled away and headed off down the hallway. A moment of frowning after her, and Kaja quickened her step to catch up, falling in alongside her without hesitation. In this, at least, they were equals - it would never have occurred to her to walk a step behind her best friend, or anything as silly as that. Zuma may have been a princess, but they'd been friends for too long for such silliness.
"If they look beautiful in the store, then they'll look even more beautiful on us," she answered, but stubbornly reached for her friend's arm again when she tried to keep walking. "Don't be ridiculous. You were just helping me with a form. I slipped. Now come on, it'll only take a minute." Not even bothering her about Kuzo could distract her, much as she wanted to drop her face in her hands at just the mention. Why had she ever admitted that to Zuma? Why?
Instead of snapping, Kaja just lowered her voice to a hiss and set her feet, refusing to let the princess slip past the healing room. "And I'd just like to mention that I'm not the one with the penchant for spying, missy."
