Xiu's eyes went wide, "Kozu! Stop that!" she grabbed his arm and encouraged him to get back up to his feet. "I don't bow to me, you don't have to, there isn't anybody else here to see it." she was fine with bowing, but the two of them had once been so close that now it seemed only to reiterate the fact that they had drifted away, that he wasn't the boy that had been her friend all those years ago. "Please, you can do this standing, I promise to tell anyone who asks that you bowed, scraped and kissed my feet, but you don't have to do that." she knew he was shocked by that, but she wasn't about to let him go on the way he was, she couldn't accept what he was going to say without looking him in the eye.
She let go of his hands and folded her arms behind her back, gently biting the inside of her lip. She knew he was sorry and that he was now so uncomfortable being around her so this would be difficult, but if she were honest, it hurt her feelings that he felt he had to do that. She didn't care about his lost birthright making him feel worthless, he wasn't worthless to her, he used to be one of her best friends. "I will close and lock the door if you don't get up." she said in a voice more stern than she could have actually ever been. "Please." she added at the end since she could not be hard with him.
