"As long as it was only you and Kozu who asked," said Azah wryly. "Zuma seems boundly determined to think ill of me and to listen to me as little as possible."
Amber eyes widened when she realized that she'd spoken the thought out loud. She tried to keep her personal disagreements to herself and not burden others with them, but Zuma's increasingly rude behaviour towards her hurt. Sometimes Azah felt like Zuma hated her. She knew it probably wasn't true, but she couldn't help but feel that way. Lately, Zuma had been treating her like someone that Zuma was forced to endure rather than as her sister.
"I shouldn't have said that out loud and I am sorry," she said. "She's been rude to me lately. I know I can't please everyone and I know I haven't done anything really horrid to her, but it's frustrating."
