"I've been busy healing and teaching," said Naida, warmly. She returned the hug before continuing on. "I'm pleased to say that my students have been learning the value of helping where they can."
Basim's enthusiasm was contagious, although it wasn't terribly diffficult to get Naida into a good mood. By far and large, she believed in the philosophy of "live and let live". That didn't mean she tolerated blatant disrespect from people, but she generally forgave anyone who apologized to her and left the matter as water under the bridge.
"I would love to have a nice cup of green tea with a twist of fruit in it," she said. "And so long as the cup isn't cracked and I won't have to bend my tea to avoid spilling it, I'll be quite content with whatever you serve me."
