Going to the market sans Zuma was... something of a break, if Kaja were to be perfectly honest. She loved her best friend, and would happily have chosen her as a sister if she got her own pick. But sometimes they both needed a little breathing room, and they were usually pretty good about taking it. It was never much, of course - an afternoon here or there that they spent doing other things, which they'd then get together and chatter about in short order.
And one of the best parts about going to the market by herself? There was a sweet-maker there that both the girls absolutely loved, and turning up with treats the next day would make Kaja the hero of the afternoon. So once she'd finished some idle shopping, she turned her path toward the familiar shop. And daydreaming about the selection of biscuits that she would share with her friend the next day, she didn't see the other body step into her path.
She certainly felt it though, and her immediate surge of temper raised the temperature a few degrees before she settled herself. Not that the offending person helped at all. Mimi was something of a notorious figure in the city - known for noisy explosions and runaway creations, even if Kaja thought some of these stories were horribly exaggerated.
With the slightest frown, she tolerated Mimi's brushing off her crimson dress for a few moments before stepping back. "It's fine - thank you. We should both have been paying more attention... especially when it's so crowded."
