Zuma narrowed her eyes at her friend, knowing she had most definitely been tricked. “Oh I doubt that or you would have told me sooner.” The remark was curt and held a barely there annoyance. Well, she was already there…she could always just let him know exactly how she felt about it if she didn’t appreciate his company. “Taro, you said?”
She squeezed Kaja’s hand tightly, a warning against any attempts to trick her again. Though, she knew Kaja would do it again in the future…sometimes it was the only way to get your own way with the princess. Besides, Zuma would forgive her quickly enough most times anyway.
Suspiciously, Zuma glanced around the tea house for anyone seated who might be that friend of Kaja’s. “So, is he here yet?” She asked with a raised eyebrow and a slight smile. Maybe if she kept an optimistic attitude, it wouldn’t be too horrible.
