Life as a member of the Fire Nation royal family was generally very good. Azah had all the luxury in her life that she could ever want - fine clothes, she lived in a palace, and had servants at her beck and call if she so desired. In spite of that, Azah tried not to let herself become too spoiled. Her master's voice had become the voice of Azah's conscience, and kept her in check even without her master even being present.
There were responsibilities, of course. Responsibilities that should have been Kozu's. Passing them to her had been her parents' decision, not hers. Ever the dutiful daughter, Azah had taken them on without much complaint beyond her initial protests. She wouldn't let herself complain outright. She didn't want to dishonor her parents or to inadvertantly hurt Kuzo by rubbing salt in his wounds. And spirits be good, she definitely didn't want to give her very outspoken little sister something to complain about.
Presently, Azah was downdown in Azatan Sathit. She hadn't managed to successfully persuade the palace servants that she didn't need company, but at least she'd persuaded them that there was no way that she was going to be sitting up on a palanquin being carried when she had functioning legs that were as capable of walking as anyone else's.
So far, she'd bought herself some clothing. At the moment, however, Azah's attention was caught by the poster advertising the upcoming Fall Festival events. At her request, her servants were maintaining some distance from her. A Princess should be approachable, after all. Shy as she was when it came to public speaking, Azah enjoyed one on one meetings with people well enough. Particularly when they resulted in a game of pai sho.
"It looks like it will be an excellent festival this year," she remarked to the nearest person. "Are you looking forward to it?"
